For the past 3 weeks or so we've been rapid switching. It's caused by or at least it was preceded by a depression. I don't know whose depression or why. It's so complicated. I want her to host since she's the most suitable for the host's jobs and for the body. But I keep being pushed out. She doesn't like me being out either and I don't want to be out either. But it just happens. I'm guessing because she's not strong enough to settle and I'm much more dominant by default. We've been having this problem on and off for as long as I can remember. It is so tiring. I have some awareness of our dynamics and she doesn't. The rapid switching also involves other alters to a lesser extent. It's making us motion sick and the headaches are pronounced. It's making her very self conscious to go outside. I don't know what I want from this post, I guess just to vent.

Sorry you're all going through this. Host stuff seems so difficult. We know what it's like getting stuck out front and struggling to get the 'right' person to take over.
I don't have any answers, unfortunately. Just, we know similar struggles.
Good luck.

Thanks its settled down some.. But the truth is just that we function like this a lot. I don't understand why things can get so intense sometimes even though objectively nothing changes. We often switch like the waves, are co-conscious or copresent a lot, blend and interfere with each other. Sometimes it just feels natural, sort of cooperative and peaceful, normal. I think it's more covert at those times too. While at other times it's like this war is going on and we definitely are more overt then.
Are bouts of rapid switching normal for other systems too? What is causing it for you?
