Ditching social environments for stealth...

Postby Chaejuru » Sat Aug 04, 2018 4:30 am

Any else ever feel an alter coming and just leave a social gathering for fear of being found out?

I try to suppress my alter but she keeps digging at me so I feel like I either have to leave or get another dizzy spell... Sucks

Yes, sounds familiar!

And sometimes I don't even want to be with the stupid friends of some other part. Then I think she likes it better when I leave than when I'm "weirdly distant" or "rude".

I'm not sure the answer to the question but I love the thread title! I am... Stealthcat and I get away from people. Run! Maybe I'm momentarily being silly and identifying with cats that run from people (and I love kitties!) :P but I am pretty reclusive.

Fortunately, part of Delilah's role is to be the gatekeeper and the gateway and used to keep a very close eye on things. If a switch was going to happen away from a safe place, she would either block it completely, or she would switch into the front, act like me for however long was necessary. She is the "must keep everything looking normal" type. She doesn't have to do that as much lately though. We've (mostly) all gotten good at working cooperstively.
