Have one that says see wallet card... along with where the epipen is located... got it because of food allergies but honestly after in a dissociated state having been taken to the hopsital for "loitering" at the grocery store I also am glad to have it for the dissociation/flashbacks.

I got mine today in the mail. I'm surprised to find that I actually like it. it looks like a nice watch band. I'm hoping that if I lose my faculties I will be treated as a medical case instead of a criminal one and hopefully prevent adverse reactions to drugs. so we'll see.

I sort of feel better -- like I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Hi,

Wow! We never thought of a med-alert thing. Host would never ever do it - but it's a cool idea. Host would rather get in trouble than have people know we're DID.

We do have an emergency card because once we had a big switch while we were out of town for work. Somebody took over and didn't know what was going on. Now we carry a card that has - where we're going - how long we're staying - the name of our hotel - what airline gets us home - and stuff like that. So if somebody comes out and doesn't know what's going on they can check the card and calm down.

Iain

The card looks like this...

Hi,
You're in Denver.
You're here till July 3rd.
You're staying at the Marriott downtown in room 346.
You're going home on Southwest Airlines flight 3489 at 7:32pm July 3rd.
Keep all the receipts.
It's going to be alright.
Iain - 14, Colin - 17, Evan - 7, Cody - 16, & Host - the adult out front

When they say 'be yourself',
which one do they mean?

Honestly, I had not thought of putting together a list of safe people to call for a situation that may involve DID. I haven't told any of my family yet, there are only 3 people who know about my diagnosis.

Thank you all for the great ideas <3
Nicole(39F/host/poster) diagnosed with depression, anxiety, C-PTSD, & DID
Coles(unkF/secondary poster), Little Nicole(aka Little, 3F), Lillith(6F), others to be introduced.
