The subject pretty much says it all.
I've noticed there are quite a few animal alters (and I also have and have had many), but I've never met anyone else who has plants. Everyone in my system has, for some reason, always had the ability to turn into a plant of some sort. I don't know why, and I don't know what this means, but I've never met any other people with DID systems who have alters that are things that aren't typically associated with life.
As another example, early on, I had a fragment who was made entirely of water, but that fragment was able to rejoin/heal many years ago.
Dx: DID, CPTSD, depression.
Three known alters remain.

Turning into a plant sounds like a useful ability to me, at least given my childhood. Of course, plants are as alive as animals, though not as mobile by comparison. Our Xavi is a tornado. We know there is inevitably a little boy behind it. We have a ghost also, though I guess that's associated with life, specifically the lack thereof.
Dx = DID. My blog. My personal Periodic Table of 78 alters.

A tornado sounds useful to me! I have no idea what was behind the water fragment as all we ever saw was...water. I suppose that the water was probably a child or a teen of some sort, probably female given the nature of our system, but that's neither here nor there.
Thanks for your answer!

Very creative system. I don't think we have plants, or parts who can turn into something else (for protection, turning into a plant is brilliant!), but I do know that systems that contain 'non human' parts often had a very hard time.
Welcome to the forum and good look with your further healing process.
