opinion on 4 day workweek? (10hr shifts)

that's roughly 25,000 hrs spent commuting..... it sounds exhausting.

part of what appealed to me was ditching 1 day per week of the commute. I have about 45 minutes each way, give or take depending on the traffic hell.

what kicked it for me was really, really envisioning the impact it would have on my daughter. the change to our mornings (pretty leisurely now) and the constant evening pick up. it doesn't sound so bad in the summer. but when winter comes and it's cold and dark and wet and all you want is to get home and yummy down on the crockpot classic that's on hot and waiting on the counter. then it sounded pretty ######6 miserable.

so....all things considered I went with the 5 day cruise schedule.

Glad we could help. We think that in the long run, both you and your daughter will be glad you made this choice. Sez we who don't have outside kids.

In the morning, we nap. In the evening, we read the two free newspapers and do SuDoku.

Sounds great, I wish I could also work fewer hours, earn more and live with less stress. Now I am stressed because of the juggling with work and trying to find time with my 2 kids.
