I've recently discovered i have an infant part...so far just known as Baby. She cries a lot. Wants to cuddle with a stuffed animal and blanket. When she sees my therapist, she wants to sit in her lap. Sometimes Baby sucks her thumb.
Whenever I (Holly) sees a baby crying...I feel like i can relate to that little crying baby so much. I feel like this is my Baby. Does that make sense?
How do infant parts become? is this because of something that happened to our system when they were an infant?
sorry if this doesn't make sense...

I do have an infant part but.The Baby never ages and rarely stops crying. It needs 24/7 from a care-taking alters.
My Mother gave me away to Aunt as a Baby. So I assume it is connected to that.

Given posts on this board and the many things I've read, yes, something likely happened when you were an infant, probably as a result of abuse and/or neglect, the primary background for most people with DID.
My adopted son and I have infants in our systems. In my experience, infant alters have been easier to help heal compared to some others. They need care, attention, warmth, stuffed animals, simple things really.
Dx = DID. My blog. My personal Periodic Table of 78 alters.

I have at least 2 infant parts. Same. Cry a lot. Have found recently that I can ask if someone inside can hold the baby and that seems to help. I don't know much more though, and suspect it has something to do with neglect in infancy. At least for me.
