Not quite here but refusing to ground

Postby LittleMie » Tue Jan 02, 2018 8:17 pm

Don't know if this makes sense but sometimes I feel like am not quite here but have no inclination to ground self like being hidden is best option. Have no concentration although seem to be doing several things at once. Feel like I already know the answer to this but can't access it.

could you describe this a little more? It sounds like a form of depersonalization.

Thanks for response LittleDaria. I feel absent but like there is a lot going on somewhere but I can't access it. I feel like there is something going on but not sure what it is. It isn't new we've been here many times am just more aware of it these days.

I think I understand. We are experiencing something similar only presenting different I think. For us it is there is a lot going on inside and we are staying as far on the outside as possible. Depersonalization for sure. TO have a great holiday with the outside kids. Last year was a super challenging year and ringing in the new year unfortunately does not mean a new slate. I am hearing the need for "controlled dissociation" - time to devote to going to the inside and hearing what is going on.

not sure what the point was.

that usually happens to me when I'm up front or whatever and not allowed to access inside or some of my conscious is still somewhere else. Or an alter I'm connected to us inside.

Its a terrible feeling to be in the moment but cant connect to it .

I usually try to tell everyone to open up because they dont know how tightly they're holding on. And I try to either pull the part of me thats inside up or I go inside myself

Its always hard to figure out what needs to be done to connect.its one of the hardest feelings to have with this condition..

This is interesting - my adult children have been here over Christmas so 'mum' has been forced out if that makes any sense. As soon as the girls had gone that is when it started - am guessing it is to due with the transition between being 'mum' and then trying to reconnect/listen. We have a huge urge to run. Feeling a bit overwhelmed :(
