yes. headaches and stomach aches. so hard to pinpoint the cause.

I am back on magnesium too. staying "healthy" is expensive. but being sick costs more.

I'm really glad you resurrected this topic. it's helping me see everything goes back to diet. headaches - diet. stomach aches - diet. back and joint pain - fat ass (diet). liver and heart - diet.

dude. it's like so simple. team bee needs to get their $#%^ together. I KNOW what makes my body feel good. tons of fresh plants with some good meat now and then. never touch preservatives/processed foods. so why the ###$ don't I do it? geezus.

Don't get too hard on yourself/yourselves. Feels like these are lessons we all keep learning over and over.

I don't know how many times we've / previous host's 'discovered' that cooking real food for our meals makes us feel so much better than just heating up frozen processed junk. Like at least 3 or 4 times, we've 'discovered' that, then realized oh huh yeah I knew this before. How did I forget it?!?! Amnesia & dissociation FTW there.

I'm still looking into the daith piercing, might go talk to our piercer later in the week (if V2 will let me lol.)

In the meantime might up the Magnesium and see if that helps.

Thanks again Bees, & hope you're feeling better soon!

I have had chronic, literally never ending headaches since middle school (I'm in college now). I used to only have frequent headaches, but now they never stop. It's been years and years and years. I've had an MRI done but nothing was wrong. I assume this is a PTSD thing personally.
If any of your treatment methods prove successful, please let us know!!!

I know this post is a little old but I’m just going to throw in 2 cents.

I’ve heard about the daith piercings and have always considered it.
I’ve gotten migraines since I was about 16 and was diagnosed with chronic physical migraines finally when I was 21.

My neuro gave me topamax AND nortriptyline. Which has been a life saving combo for us took migraines from like a 12 to a 3 so we still get them daily but unless we stop and think it’s like not that noticeable.
Side effects did include the following: slower word remembering/ word loss (can’t remwmber the word and you have to describe the word you’re looking for and people around you guess. The longer I’ve been on it, the worse it’s gotteb but not anything crazy). Loss of memory (worsens as I’ve been on it or I’ve just noticed more gaps due to did not sure). Loss of hair (nothing crazy I’ve just noticed it’s not as thick as it used to be). Photosensitivity (red spots in the sun) had to reduce nortriptyline by 25 mg and it got better. But these symptoms were nothing compared to the migraines I had so I’ve continued.

Until recently......my meds don’t seem to be helping at all. I get bad headaches all the time now, really ever since I became aware of my parts a few months ago. . Not sure what’s up with that. I will be trying the magnesium and other solutions posted about here and see how it goes.

Have you guys had good experiences with the topamax? If not, what was it replaced with?

I get chronic migraine and take zolmitriotan for them, but twice we’ve tried topamax for maintenance. Both times I ended up having a bad psychiatric reaction to it. It definitely sharpened suicidal feelings for me. I’ve had trouble with other meds causing me psych problems too, like increased dissociation and uncontrollable Rolodex switching - especially psych meds, but Gabapentin is a bad one.

Have you looked into supplements that may be of help? Magnesium has already been mentioned, but just make sure to slowly bring up the dose to limit "gastrointestinal urgency"...if you know what I mean. Riboflavin may also help. CoQ10 is another good one and research shows that a water and fat-soluble form is the better choice because it's better absorbed by the body.

Good luck! It sounds like you've been through a lot.
