I agree that you should do what's in your best interest. Why seek trauma therapy from a therapist who clearly can't recognize trauma? With multiplicity on the mix, seems she is just being unprofessional and going by the manuals, which any good professional will tell you that they aren't worth much in terms of actual reality of clinical practice. People don't just fit in boxes and we're all the same, don't know what she's thinking..

I think she has no idea what she is doing if this is her strategy. The manual is a guide but if you work with humans and see them for who they are you know in an instance that these are guiding categories and not absolute. Your lived experience is what matters. Not what someone has written about other people's experiences. Sounds like she is not competent and also not very smart.
