It was really good that you were able to know this was happening. I hope she is feeling better, and you too. We have had this happen. I'm not sure what fixed it.

gonna see the T in a few hours.
we didnt get this solved yet. we tried to create a safe surrounding for her when she "wakes up"
the good thing is that we didnt freak out completely. we worked together really well to stay calm and focussed. no panicked actions.

Hi L&A

Yes, the really good thing is that you didn't freak out. You did well Annett.

Meisie first presented non-verbally. Over a period of time, she slowly started to develop her speaking skills, and eventually she started to write. One traumatic event and she reverted back to her original non-verbal form.

Keep her safe... Brett

the T did great.
we were too stressed to think of all our tools.
when Annett is so tense and trying to protect she gets into a place where she isnt helpful anymore because she is just busy being so tense...
she got us to the T and basically dropped me off.

we used tools to interrupt dissociation, like any T would do it, but Annett did it inside.
one hand grabbing her hand, one at her shoulder, and while softly pulling the hand and pushing the shoulder telling her she is pulling her out of that place and she can follow the hand to the front and leave the flashback behind.
next step: change location, change position, change topic. that is such an old one we totally forgot.

it seems like the trigger was family fighting over finances. D is responsible for ours and the thought of inheriting anything from the monster sent her over the edge.

we used imagery to lock away the inner picture of the monster and gave D a magic mirror so she can always check that she is truely locked away. she is in real life.
we will need to work on anchors for D. the monsters birthday is coming up this weekend, another reason why all this got out of hand.

what a difficult T session. Annett put a lot of hope in the T and she was not disappointed. i hope that will have a positive influence on their relationship.
Annett and Danielle want to practice kickboxing together this weekend :D
