Forcing Integration?

Postby StillAround » Mon Apr 17, 2017 4:43 am

Hello,

I've read many times that the only way to deal with some persecutor alters is to integrate them. But how does this happen? Can it be forced, even if the persecutor alter is not cooperative?

Not sure about forcing integration I have found forcing anything leads to greater resistance. My understanding is that more streamlined integration with the system is created by improved communication. This is difficult with persecutors because in our case all we want to do is shut them down which usually makes things worse. I think it all depends on what is going on and with whatever it is you need to make sure you are safe. Have you got a T who you can address this with? All best, stay safe.

that sounds like complete nonsense to us.
if integration means fusion.

if integration means communication and winning them for the team, giving them a job that has meaning, stuff you would do to "integrate" a refugee into a new society, then it makes perfect sense.

Hi, StillAround.

I'm still a little new to the world of personality alterations, so I'm curious about what you're saying. I see you said, "some persector alters". What "kind" are you dealing with? What have you tried with this person already?

As for forcing integration, I don't know if that's possible. My system tried to integrate one day just to get our population down to a seemingly-managable number. They--about 50 alters, I guess--worked and worked until only seven or so people appeared to be left, but everyone was able to fully separate when they saw nothing really happened. Thus, I have no clue what a true "forced" integration looks like.

For us, integration just happens sometimes and we don't know why. Shoot, we don't even know what integration really is. For us, someone is just gone. One person might feel a little different after such a disappearance, so we figure they just fused with that person in a way that they cannot willfully "un"-fuse. (Shrugs.)

Hope you figure things out.
