Finding New Alters: April 2017 Log

My system is very complex, containing about 60 known individuals. However, I know we have many others we're not aware of. To help, I've thought of trying to find at least one unknown alter a day. Now, I've decided that April 2017 will be the month in which I begin my search for everyone in our system. That gives me 30 days to find 30 unknown alters. There may not be that many alters to find, but there may be more than that. We'll see what happens.

I'll document our progress here to give our "new" alters a chance to introduce themselves to the community, if they want to. Comments are welcome.


Day 1

Name: Lucas
Gender: Male
Age: unknown, young
Introduction: (Warning! My story may contain triggers.) Anyway, hi, I'm Lucas. I was found on accident when someone burnt our upper lip on a scolding-hot drink. That triggered me to come forward and I asked the alter with the drink to burn the lip again. He wouldn't, of course, and thought I was a self-harm alter. I don't want to hurt the body at all, though. Pain is just significant to me for some reason. I think I formed when our ankle got broken in kindergarten; the pain was unbearable so I took some of it. I don't want people to think I'm dangerous or a trouble-maker. I just process pain differently. - Lucas

Note: We also found a crab apple tree in our system today. It appears to be an introject from our childhood since our mother planted the same species of tree back then, which still grows on our property. Obviously, the tree does not talk, so we don't know it's name, but we'll call it Ashton. - Imre

Day 2

Found two alters today. One can't wait to talk, so here he is:

Hiiiii! I'm Little Anthony. I'm a nine-year-old boy with bushy blond hair. My brother is Big Anthony and he looks the same, except he's a teenager. We need each other and like to be together, but we don't mind hanging out with other people.

Day 3

Sorry this is late. They waited until bedtime to meet anyone. Anyway, I'm Saul. ... I'm not exactly human. On the inside, I ... guess I look like a monster. Crab claws. Spider legs. Blank eyes. No nose or nostrals. But I like the way I look and so do some of my others. I look a lot like that Chrysalis Eater from the older "Teen Titans" series, but minus the spider butt, and I'm dull blue in color. Heh, it's so cool how the people in this system love me. They understand my emotional and social needs, that I'm the same as any of them as a person, just a monster guy.

Uh, there was another alter that showed up after me. He's a little boy named Clay. Don't know him, really. I guess he's quiet or shy or ... afraid of me. Oops. ... Oh, nevermind. Now he just laughed at my assumption and said he's just shy. He likes me.

DAY 4

Hi. I don't know who I am. I am a child and I have blond hair and I seem to be a boy. I have a friend who came to the front after me named Keiser (KAY-zer) who is a sweet little girl about my height. She's named for our kindergarten teacher from our real childhood and likes the name because Ms. Keiser (spelling?) was so nice and she still loves her. Keiser was stuck in time back in kindergarten days but is happy to know we are grown up now and have a niece and stuff. She refuses to get upset over anything. She wants to love and embrace the changes.


Lol, did we meet eight people in four days? Lol. That's more than some people have in their whole system. Hahahaha!

Day 5

No surprises today. Met a person we knew existed and someone we thought might exist. Neither one feels like talking, nor do they want us to give any information about them beyond the basics. (Maybe some day they will.)

(Sighs.) Okay, here I am. I'm Nasha. I'm an American red fox furry and I'm a guy. I was one of the ex-hosts' fictional characters who turned into an alter somehow, which makes me the alter people thought might exist. I'm not happy about being a furry. Truth is, I'd rather be human but people in my system are telling me I should accept the way I am, and I am trying to do that. My internal dysmorphia is probably linked with trauma anyway, so I guess the denial is just a distraction from the real problem. I'm trying to pinpoint that trauma, but it's not easy for me as a character since I have a seperate life narrative.

Although I'm angsty and grumpy, I still have friends in here. My old childhood friend from my story is here and he says he needs me because he's got problems he's dealing with, and that encourages me to up my self-worth. There is also a cat furry in here who is excited to find she isn't the only furry. To express this, she likes to grab my arm and snuggle up against me. I tell her it makes me uncomfortable, but she keeps doing it! Then again, I've heard that is something cats will do.

Interestingly, I also have a sort of Native American heritage, despite not being fully human. My (fictional) people lived like "Indians" anyway so my "style" is pretty primitive and earthy. Just saying.

Day 6
(April 6, 2017)

Name: Tiger

Age: Child or adult, cersumstantial

(My story has a TRIGGER WARNING. )

I'm Tiger. I am nine right now but I was an adult until last night. The system knew about me already, but they didn't know me as a person. Unfortunately, they only knew me because I have done some very, very bad things. I named myself "Tiger" and they thought it was apt because (Trigger!) I was a predator in a sense. (End trigger.) BUT, even though I have hurt people, the system saw that I could be nice and loving and helpful, too. However, they only remembered the pain I caused. Therefore, I hid myself from them, not just because I was hated and feared but because I didn't want to hurt anyone again.

Just the word "tiger" caused people to get upset. You'd be surprised how often we run into that word! There is a billboard we see a lot that advertises for a business named "Tiger". Every time someone saw that sign, they thought of me and I got closer to the front each time. Last night, I finally got the courage to enter the body's control center.

When I came forward, someone ran me off as soon as they knew I was there. I fled, but kept skidishly coming back. I tried to come as an actual tiger and not a human because sometimes people are nicer to animals than other people. (My adult body makes people uncomfortable anyway because I'm intersex.) But, guess what? people are afraid of tigers, too. Still, I just laid down submissively and sighed to show I wasn't a threat. People started to get somewhat comfortable with me and, eventually, I was allowed to come out (with supervison).

While I was out, I felt very insecure and childish and needed a lot of reassurance from my "sister" alter. But then the physical mom put on an excellent family movie! The littles wanted to come and watch it but they were afraid of me. The leader of the kids bravely accepted me, though, so soon the kids were comfortable with me and even sat on my tiger body like a couch. ^_^ After the movie, the kids went inside and ... I found I had become a little! So, now I'm nine and a human. I still have problems, but I like being a kid.

Lol, so that's my mess-up and highly complicated story. I'm doing well today. People aren't afraid of me now that I'm a kid. I'm even making friends! Every now and then, though, I get to thinking about something that triggers me to revert back to my adult or tiger form. I guess I'm a shape-shifter with three forms, but I like my child form the best.

Oh, wait ... that wasn't Tiger that posted earlier. It was me, Timmy. Tiger is another alter that I sort of bond to and blend with. The one who turned into a tiger is Tiger, but the boy was me, Timmy. I'm an adult again and have been for some hours. Likewise, Tiger has regained his human form but goes back and forth between that and the animal form. Now that we have our original bodies back, we're dealing with our problems together. I'm not going to say here what those problems are, but we'll ask for support elsewhere on PF when we're ready to seek help.

On day 7, we just helped Timmy and Tiger with their problems. Didn't meet anyone new.

Day 8

I'm Beverly Olive. I'm about 12 because I'm a bigger girl than our "littles". I am White with long, flowing brown hair and I'm thick-bodied. Conjoined Minds met me because Jadden was out and thought, "Let's organize our craft stuff!" which ended up meaning, "Let's organize all our stuff!". I just came right out to do this because I have initiative and I like to see that things get done. (In other words, I'm bossy.)

That's it. It's really "Day 9" and we haven't met anyone else yet. I guess we should but it's hard meeting so many people in so short a time because we're alters and a lot of us need help and special attention. At least the goal was 30 so we don't really have to find someone every day. Hoping there aren't many let to meet anyway. Finding love and attention for 70+ people is hard. Still, it's nice to have such a big family.

Day 10

Hi, I'm ... Oh, wait. HUGE TRIGGER WARNING. I'm a sexual alter. I will be gross.

Story first.
The Conjoined Minds system found out there is a time of the month after that other time of the month called "ovulation". At this time, the body's estrogen levels go sky-high and, as they put it, the adult alters turn into (trigger) "sex-crazy werewolves". In this state, many of the adults in our system sort of turn pan' and "look at each other funny". It's a time they dread, and, at this moment, it has begun for the month of April.

Okay, now to where I come in. Last night, the system had a dream. In the dream, the dreamer walked-in on (TRIGGER, TRIGGER, TRIGGER!) a man on top of a woman. Turns out the man was a werewolf. The girl got out from under him quickly to show that she was still dressed and insisted they hadn't done anything yet. The dreamer then looked around the room (which was large) and saw many other werewolves, each with his own woman. The first werewolf, the leader of the pack, explained to the dreamer that she had just disrupted what was about to become ... well, you get it! Every girl and wolfman got sent away and the alpha got up and busily shooed some other people away and the scene rapped-up. After that, the dream went on, and the dreamer needed to find a quiet place to take-in what she just witnessed.

So, that was me: the alpha wolf, the leader, the system's true sex-crazy werewolf. Don't know if I existed before the dream, but probably not. We get a lot of new people from dreams. Funny thing, too, is that the system wondered why they didn't have a wolf alter when so many other systems did. Now they do! And our cat furry was feeling a little lonesome being one of only two beastpeople in our system. Now there are three! Oh, she's going to hate me, though, but I guess she should. Lastly, I don't have a name, but I'll find one.

This was Conjoined Mind's new, naughty, lycanthropic alter. Let's see how I behave myself.
