Hi all,
A bit of background is probably appropriate I didn't have any abuse as a child nor have I had any traumatic experiences.
I first noticed that something wasn't right when I was 12 when I was hearing voices, by time I was 14 I was having missing time and being told I had been involved in conversations I had no memory of or that I had acted like I didn't know people even family.
I am now 21 and have officially diagnosed as D.I.D as of today and was told about this forum.
I was wondering if any one knows of a way to try to control switching as my work is effected a great deal but this?
Thank you.

Congratulations!
Yes, there are ways to control switching. DID therapy will help you improve your functioning at home and work. Did the professional who diagnosed you tell you about the DID Forum?

Inside alters should be bringing back recall of conversations that you are accused of no memory. Ask for them, to bring back recall I guess you have to ask , "yea what was it about" to the person you we're according to that person, in a conversation with. Alters are constantly doing what they can to remain covert has the communication been constant? It is key for the benefits of alters. At once, practice memory have conversation via you tube replay them inside your mind, speak them. Identity environments facebook in person you tube at the local clerk grocery store phone convo. It is a practice start sharing with alters so that is it isn't a further a problem. Get alters to know family the ones that didn't have recall or ask for why they have to keep boundaries.
