Potty training an alter?

I am a male bodied DID like you. There doesnt seem to be many of us on this site. maybe that is where the trouble is coming from with all the assumptions. Not sure but that is my guess. anyways, i hope i can help steer the conversation away from arguments.

Like I said i am male like you, I also have problems with alters being potty trained. as the host it is hard for me to understand what is going on internally, but the problem lies with kid alters( some are female). I have a really hard time controlling when kid alters come out or not so it is hard for me to just be able to not switch into those alters. For me it is easier said than done, to just be co conscious or have addult alters take control and handle the situation.

One of my older female alters (brittany) helps out as much as she can with the kid alters, but she isnt always there and she isnt co conscious with a lot of them. Over time it has gotten better.

I agree with Violarules that explaining to Elisabeth that the body is male in a gentle manner while teaching her potty training would work well.

I really wish I knew how to deal with it better and could answer your questions, but im pretty clueless. but I definitely experience what you are experiencing.

Thank you, and its good to know we're not the only ones dealing with this problem. Amara's going to be the main one potty training her, we planed to start it last weekend but ran it to a few issues ( we want everyone in a good mood when we start so its easier dealing with the freak out). Well, we started and it did not go good at all. We let her out to play with a diaper on and let her see down there when she was changed and she freaked. Now she's confused and wont talk to anyone. Amara and my girlfriend both tried to help her understand, but how do you explain to a 4 year old that shes a girl trapped in a mans body?

Hi to Billy. And we are boys in a girl body. I am 8 and a half and my brother jody is 4. We know we are boys even if the body is a girl. We would like to pee standing up but we know the body can't do that. Which is a bummer but oh well.

And you know what jody just said. "i got my own peepee ona insid."

And your girlfriend is very nice for helping Amara help your inside girl.

Well it's been 4 days and Lizy still hasn't talked and won't come out and play, most of the time I'm not even sure she's there. So it looks like maybe I was wrong to let her see that, now to figure out how to fix it?

It may be that she's processing the information. Or just taking a break and resting.

I'm going to give her time (like until the 26th) and if she's still like this I thing I'm going to go with the thing Amara wants to get for her and show it to he the same way we showed her that she has a peepee.

Well she's back, out of nowhere she just started throwing a tantrum (it about took me to my knees because I got really dizzy) and then after Amara and Sarah tried to calm her down she wanted one of my girlfriends alters (Minuet). Here's what's strange about that, Minuet is the one who rejected all my female alters and freaked out because I have them. Thankfully Min agreed to talk to her. She laid on am insurance lap and cried that she doesn't want to have a peepe or be a boy, and called Min her sister? I Really didn't see that happening especially because Min isn't supposed to come out around me right now because of how she was treating my female alters. So I think I'm going to ask Min to watch her later so she can play and Min can have some time out, and I'm probably going to break down and buy that weird thing Amara suggested.
