alters killing one another?

Prob a bad idea but my bf showed us the movie "identity" where alters are getting killed by another alter... and it scared the $#%^ out of some of us.... and i am wondering if this has happened to any of you? :0

a alter can never ever kill another alter, they can kill the body, but then everyone dies.. however, as long as the body is alive then every alter is alive too..

maybe think of it not like seperate people but of splinters of one soul that all put together make a whole person. its not possible to kill parts.

it is possible that a part believes they are dead though. while they still tell you that and while they listen to your answer.
that is a kind of trance logic that is found within systems. its based on an inside reality that doesnt match the "reality". it follows its own rules but doesnt lead to more realization of the truth. it actually makes cognitive errors and harmful beliefs sound logical.
maybe that movie you saw is based on trance logic.

The inner world is a fantasy world, where almost anything is possible. In some DID systems, at least for a time, alters do kill other alters. But the killed alters can live again.

i agree with this, i think. alters may not be able to die, but they can play the part of being "dead" if the system calls for it. and if the system calls for them to live again, then they do.
