Meeting New People

Postby HoldenCaulfield » Sun Feb 05, 2017 9:43 pm

Hi, I'm Alfred, and I'm, of course, new here. I would really like to meet some people on here, and also see if everyone can give help to one another. I would like to know a little bit about everyone, of course. You can say as much (or as little) as you want; whatever is comfortable. Here's some things about me to get the ball rolling:
-I usually don't do much besides play around on the computer or roleplay. I love comics (I'm a huge DC fan), and sometimes anime. I love creating my own characters, and I draw them all the time. I also love The Catcher in the Rye (As you can tell). I also like m e m e s.
-I don't really have self-esteem, so it's hard for me to actually feel good about anything I do. I can become very closed off and mistrusting.
I am easily triggered, but if you need to talk about something triggering, I will push through and listen!

Alters:
Now, you all should know my alters, of course! I don't know if they'll post on here or not, though... we'll see what happens.
Alfred: Nonbinary (They/them) (Host; Original (I believe)).
-Memelord. Is emotional and scatterbrained. Likes using sad winky faces for the good memes ;( and has weird typing quirks. Has DID, OCD, clinical depression, hypochondria. Might have PTSD.

    ???: Female: 8 (Little).
-Seems rather shy. Likes stuffed animals.

Jacqueline "J": Female: 15 (Persecutor: The one I will not let post, however she doesn't listen to me).
**Trigger Warning: Her personality evolves around abuse and violence**
-Emotionally and psychically abusive towards me (Will tell me how pathetic I am, tell me that no one cares about me, convince me to let her out, push me to attempt suicide; choke me, punch me in the stomach, cut me, attempt to kill the body). Will attempt to kill other people. Always laughs and smiles/grins; is disgustingly energetic and cheerful. Loves people's pain. Likes music boxes and Paramore (I can calm her down with these). Can be calm when I'm not in emotional distress.
    **End of Trigger Warning**
    Cherry: Female: 16 (Avenger; Protector?)
-Angry (Can become hostile). Uses lots of profanity and has an extremely dark sense of humor. Is quick to dislike people. Likes metal and screamo, and the color red. Hates being touched by anything living. Hates sexual things. Will let me switch to her if I'm stressed.

    Aisha: Female: 18 (Protector; ISH).
-Serious. Confident. Likes using perfect grammar and dislikes using abbreviations. Also likes EDM (Big fan of Zedd). Will help me through stress my talking me through it or switching.

    Austin: Male: 18.
-Is clueless and will often wander. Perverted. Openly expresses his thoughts.

    Kenny: Male: 19.
-Cheerful and sensitive. Acts a bit childish. Flirty. Likes dark clothing, punk, and rock/metal.

    Janeia: Female: 23-24.
-Is extremely sexual, seductive and teasing, joyful, confident, and graceful.

Phoenix: Female: 32-33 (Don't know much about her, but this is what I got:)
-Moody, extremely energetic, and seems a bit paranoid.

    Becky: Female: ???
-Shy, always in a depressed mood, sensitive about triggers (Will ask everyone their triggers, etc.), will put "Miss/Mrs" or "Mr" in front of names; formal address, and will listen to anything anyone has to say.

(I will talk in purple text now to signify that I am Alfred)
Anyway, those are all my alters. Feel free to tell me all about your alters! You of course can let them talk on here, as well. Anyone is aloud!

Sorry for the long post and any errors, y'all. Take care!

Alright. I'll participate whenever I can.

It's not really good self-care, but I like to put other people in front of myself, especially when they need to talk about something that's hurting them.

I'm glad to see someone else new and I hope you have a good experience here. It's good that you get your questions answered. It's a good feeling to know that I'm not the only one.

The truth is that you aren't a mental health professional. While many people here appreciate having someone to listen, you should put your own safety before others'. Even if you were a professional, failing to keep your own boundaries and safety in mind and in turn, triggering yourself, could result in serious harm to yourself or others (and as Una may have it, a letter to your licensing board d: .)

Sorry to be harsh about it, but failing to keep your own safety in mind can lead to severe consequences. Please don't trigger yourself for someone else. It's a barrier to your own progress and an unhealthy way to treat yourself.

Sven—rational, rejects affection ~16m ISTJ
Atrias (TA for short)—BPD teen, co-host ~14m ESFP
Shadow—efficient robot, no age/m ESTJ
and plenty more.

There are 360 degrees—why stick to just one?
