Losing it (TW self harm)

Postby ColouredLeaves » Sat Jan 14, 2017 5:54 am

Hi this is C but also Terrin. Terrin wants to hurt the body. We had a frightening night (for C's OCD) because we had to change a fluorescent bulb and C got scared that it would break and poison us. She thinks it is broken right now (it is not.) Terrin wants to go blank and just stare and dissociate.we are on hold waiting for the crisis line to pick up. We waited 30 mins before and someone answered but immediately hung up. Don't know if they couldn't hear us or what. C won't let Terrin hit or cut so she is just jamming the toes together

This will pass. Rub ice on your wrist. Or snap rubber bands to make it sting.

i hate days like that. not fair that you had to wait for so long.
i really hope you got thru this without harm.

we do like reading scientific articles...
its relatively proven that working out regularly can help with OCD as well as anxiety, depression, PTSD and other things. the golden rule is 3-30-130. 3 times a week, 30 minutes, heartbeat up to 130.
workout also helps to get over the pressure to selfharm. it channels the energy so it can get out.
when we get into a situation like that we start doing butt kickers and jumping jacks.
hope that can help for next time
