Do your alters have their own mental illnesses or addictions?
Do physical ailments seem different across personalities?

Heather has Binge Eating Disorder

i know some of my others are depressed, some are very suicidal
i need glasses but i have another who doesn't need glasses at all
i am not aware about others of my system being diagnosed seperately but i know about psychological research in wich i do not remember participating and diagnoses are different from mine
how do you know some of your others do have a diagnoses? if you want to share?

theoretically Danielle would have qualified for anorexia, Annett for bulimia and Maya tends to binge eat when sad. our doctor looked at us and said that while these things can clearly be seen in different alters they do not take control so regularly, therefore the behavior is not seen all the time and that means we cant be diagnosed with any of it.
that didnt change the truth that it had to be dealt with just like any other person with an eating disorder. and the rivaling point of views about food intake did not make it easier.

on the other hand it is absolutely possible to be diagnosed with several things at the same time, its actually common.
i really dont know how doctors decide what to count and if maybe all they diagnose is the host...
Dx: DID cPTSD
host ; Asti (host 2); and others

yes it's very possible. it's also possible that medications will effect alters differently, since some might have one mental illness while another may not. however, i've heard that neurodevelopmental disorders (such as autism) cannot be specific to a certain alter. if you were diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder than all the alters will have that disorder, since neurodevelopmental disorders are not solely psychological in nature and would not disappear if a different alter fronted.
