maybe why is to just be recognized that we are here, and paying attention, and want to be here. thank you to everyone who has contributed to my understanding and awareness.

PS. I am hella scared about disclosing to mental health system (therapist). Maybe disclosing here is baby stepping towards "coming out".

Good luck, with disclosing it is a very daunting task and something you should do when you trust everyone involved. Maybe take, a few that you speak with that are reliable doesn't hide that often and convince those ones into speaking with you to your therapist. I'm just know that there will be those in the background either during or later that will not like you for talking with your therapist about it. Secretive ness is best protectiveness past hurt from therapist all of this has something to do with it. Depends on how much you have been working on your system with talking them through at some point you going to have to disclose, there will always be those that don't want anyone to know. I think because they know what will happen in the future just a lot of things coming to play. I say two or a few at a time is best way to handle it.

sometimes I come down hard on myself. but this is progress

I look at how far i have come since that day in July that I looked in my notebook and realized there were more me's. and it is completely amazing.

I am so thankful I have found a support community filled with such awesome peoples. this has been such a huge help to me. to all of us.

I feel I know why. For us, it's been important to declare who we are and acknowledge every one of us as a member of our system. When we are certain there is another one of us, one of the first things we do is add them to our signature here and give them a color, both of which the littles insist on.

We do understand there are other ways to move forward and that some aren't comfortable listing names. And some systems and system members don't have unique names.

Draka is the newest, we've tried to get her to pick a color, but she has the attention span of a litter of kittens in a room full of laser pointers... I don't know much about Core, because approaching him causes physical pain, but not intentionally, it just happens.
