Actually I meant one alter can take over if we get to close to really doing some SH. He's really strong and super focused on just keeping things safe. He can take over and stop any kind of behavior that's going to mess up the body. You have to make some exceptions for like doctor stuff. We didn't and he went off at the ER one time and tried to stop everything. It was a mess. But now we have some exceptions like for our dentist, doctor, and one about some harm to prevent bigger harm (in case we have to take some body damage to get out of a bad situation). OK - too complicated. Sorry.

Annett - How's the AC? Did you finally get it in the window? Make sure you secure the window so it doesn't open. A buddy of mine didn't jam the window right and his AC fell out in the street. Big mess. Sorry to hear your body gets messed up by the heat. It can get pretty bad.

AC is up and working its ass off to counter the ######6 heat out there. today and tomorrow are 100+ days and we will just not leave our home at all. sit here with like 80° and do stuff and ignore the world outside.
I am kind of glad that we found a good window solution that lets some light in. I put up aluminum foil weeks ago to keep out the worst of it, but it means sitting in the dark all day and that kind of sucks too!
I got us an umbrella that has UV protection. because we are white $#%^ and never get any color, we just burn and then go white again. but everyone is terrified of sun burn. So umbrella it is.
L and Asti are sitting on their butt all day long. I want to move at least a bit. drives me crazy not to move at all.
we got a new T appointment on tuesday. we had to give up the one today because it would be madness to travel for so long. I am kind of glad its not thursday like usual. some of the nightmares did something to Thamara and she is not super well...
Maya is trying to be really nice and sticks to the fronting person like gum. I think she is scared to be left alone.
######6 difficult dynamics here. you change one small ######6 thing in a system and the whole system gets all chaotic and confused...

Annett - I'm glad your AC is working. And you got the heat loading on the windows under control. What's with your weather? I don't know exactly where you live but think it should be a lot colder. Umbrellas are a good idea. Can you get sunscreen? It's mandatory here.

T is weird right now. I'm handling most of it. Never done that before. I just want to make sure the new T is safe. I'm kind of the point-man. That feels good. I'm ready if the new T tries anything stupid. I don't think she will though. I guess I just don't trust anybody.

we barely have any rain. forest fires. we never had forest fires when we grew up.
plus winds changing so we are hit with air that comes right from the ######6 sahara.
forests are dying from heat exposure. crops fail.
but people just keep going, ruining the world.
I think we will see a ton of natural disasters in the next decades, refugees who run from the climate conditions in their country, rain, drought, heat,
sicknesses. lack of resources. hunger. thirst.
war.
the whole damn world is going down and we keep living our happy little lives.

when we were young school was cancelled on hot days. sometimes just the last class or two.
85° was a reason to send kids home. now that is one of the cooler summer days.

today is like the worst of the heat wave. tomorow it is supposed to rain a little. will just be like sauna... but then we get a couple of weeks before the next wave hits us.

Maya wants me to say Hi to Evan too. she asked me to look at the Littles thread to see how he is doing. she is still not ready to write anything there but she wants Evan to know that she wants to know how he is doing. especially with the T change. because we know T changes and they can be tough.

There's no debate over the fact it's here. Or if there is, it's in local pub, not where science lives. There's debate over if it's here because of mankind, or if it's natural phenomenon that's been here multiple times before men. That's where politics lives.

We find the whole climate issue very disturbing. Our body age is 57, and climate never used to be as bad as it is when we were younger, even when we were a younger adult. It seems mostly to be during the current generation.

We recently asked a co-worker who's very active in climate and environmental issues if she could recommend any reputable activist organizations. We usually shy away from outright activism and prefer to contribute in other ways. But the climate issue is scary bad, and it's urgent.

I am pretty sure that we will see the end of civilisation.
but we won't because life will get so difficult that we will take the emergency exit before it gets to that. we will most certainly not live thru a war about resources.

It has rained TWICE this week. It NEVER rains in July here. Very weird.

Birdsong--my littles feel kind of bad that Maya doesn't want to post on the Littles thread. Sometimes Littles are just announcing things or saying what's going on with them, and they're not always great at responding unless something catches their attention and they can relate to it. And if there are a lot of posts, my littles just skim them and maybe pick one to respond to. Anyway, Nadia says if Maya writes there, she'll write back to her.

The climate thing makes me mad. People can figure this out only we're being stupid instead. Sh*t!

We have a break from the heat here today. Need to wash the car and check the brake pads. There's also a rear shock sounding like it's going bad. Going to get my tools and have some fun.

Evan's worried he did something wrong. That's why Maya doesn't post on the Littles thread anymore. I told him Maya gets to post or not. Her choice. He says - Just tell Maya I didn't mean to hurt her.
