Hi, canucklady. :) Welcome to the forum. You may remember us from another site, which we still frequent.

We understand about the critical voice. There's probably quite a bit of material written about introjects, which you can find by googling the term. And we also think that people here can identify with having such a voice within.

In our case, we're trying hard to see the system member in question as more than just a critical presence that reminds us of someone else. We think it's helping, because there's much less inner criticism, from that source, anyway.

We hope that you find relief from your situation.

Keep hearing that t cannot be trusted and we will be hurt if we keep trusting her and if we dont go back to work will end up homeless on the street

Hearing you. Hearing that this voice is getting harder to ignore. It can be hard when a voice like this presents itself as an authority of sorts. And it's easy to give in to this dynamic if this is what we did with outside people in the past.

It helps us to remember that a critical voice is only one voice of many within, that there are others inside who are allies and will support healthy goals for the system, like going to work and going to T. Our T is a good sounding board for how we experience things. She lets us know when it may be a good idea to look at things from another angle, in order to better help ourselves.

We hope that you can talk to your T about this.

I have that too occasionally, telling me that I'm a failure and that I'm not loved or liked by anyone. I also have a hard time repressing it sometimes, especially when I'm feeling stressed out or sad.
I have ADHD. Possibly have another mental disorder but am not certain.
