Is There Any Medicine To Help The Fusion?

I've get an assignment to find out about DID and after I read a novel about Billy Milligan who has 24 alters, I got information that DID patients can be helped to mix their alters to be an alter that has all information that all alters have.

If there anyone who know about it and got those information from an education book, please tell me about it.

That sounds like it would be confusing...but I am interested to see if anyone has taken anything like that.

As long as I know, those medicine don't have permanent effect. It just help the patient to mix the alters for some hours

There is no medication against DID, and integrating with alters is, if persons with DID wish to do so, a very long process that takes years and has all to do with intensive psycho-therapy and nothing to do with medication. And even if such a miracle-pill existed, I'd never take it. Besides, what's supposed to be the use if this is only for a couple of hours? Remembering everything that's occurred, like with hypnosis, and even when you "split up again" holding that information? It sounds more like a temporary silencing of alter-voices to me, and that's not really integration.

Don't worry Kaizo. Permanent integration can never be achieved without permission of all the alters. So you're very safe..

Like Surreal said, there is no miracle drug to "cure" or integrate alters. It is all to do with psychotherapy and the system and what is right for the system. Some systems decide that they work cooperatively then they do as a whole and decide not to integrate. Integration, as you can see from Kaizos response can be a very scary and very unwanted option. It is great for some and defintely not for others. Now there are pills for schizophrenics who hear voice, and are delusional. This may be hard to understand becuase people with DID hear voices. But they are completely different. Multiples hear an internal conversation. Like your own conscience only more than one. Schizophrenics hear people talking to them on the outside. As if someone were sitting right next to them haveing a conversation. There is medicince for those types of voices. Medicine like that give to a multiple will just make you feel sleepy and dopey, and the voics will just be more muddled. Hope that helps. I don't subscribe to miracle cures either, but, wouldn't it be very helpful to be fused for say 5 hours. The familiarity and trust that could be gained in that time to deal with the healing at hand could be quite a bit....

Of course its probably a parlor game with no aplication in the real world.

I guess it would be nice as a trial for everyone to see what it would really be like. If you hated it then you would know not to integrate. Even a 5 hour venture seems scary to us.
