Introduction

I'm not sure how this "post a new topic" thing works. I have a couple of questions for people who have been dealing with this for longer than I have. I am only just getting to grips with this and them.
I've been DID diagnosed for four years now. There was a lot of psychological abuse but rarely anything too sexual as far as I'm aware. I have only one trigger I believe and it is a person. This month my friend is having a 21st and this person is coming, I have no idea if his presence still holds the same effect for me (I saw him last 2 years ago). Lucifer used to just disappear and leave Lara to deal with him, which is a shame because he definitely would like Lucifer more. He would always promise to stay and then completely cower and hide as soon as he saw him. Curly came later on in my life and absolutely abhors him. Deep down I think she's got this delusion of grandeur about Lucifer and doesn't like to see that tarnished.
I have four firm alters, Curly, Lara, Maeby and Lucifer (I don't think the last name was particularly my idea), but sometimes I feel as if there were at least two to four more not letting me know they're there, whether they're scared or hate me I don't know. How can I get them to show themselves? Do they know they're there?
Lucifer is patient and calculating - possibly a sociopath. He used to be host for extended periods of time and he was always conscious but now I feel as if he's slipping away. He's always around but never wants to know when Maeby's out and crying all the time. He's got little time for Maeby and Lara but Curly amuses him so he puts up with her.
Maeby and Lara are the only ones that are definitively female. The others are genderless pretty much. I miss Lucifer as my host. At the moment, I think I'm 4% Lucifer, 15% Curly and 60% Lara, and the rest myself? <- I don't know what you'd call that, don't really have a name atm. Should I get one?

Anyway, since I'm new to this forum, I would like to know the lingo such as what "T" and "KT" are in reference to and any others I should know about. This would make understanding posts a lot easier. Also, what if your alters want different careers? I won't get into it but there are disagreements when I, Lucifer (Cifer for a nickname) and Curly meet up (Lara is rarely invited and Maeby never). If other people could introduce themselves and their alters on this thread that would be amazing to and would probably answer so many more questions that I have but can't quite remember.

Welcome to the DID Forum. You can get to know us by reading our threads. I don't know what KT refers to but usually a T is a therapist, a person you go to for therapy (treatment) of some kind.
