A schedule could work if everyone's happy with it. Maybe asking everyone to look through the job description might help. So they understand why you'd like to stay out. If it's things they're not so good at or not so interested in.
Have you agreed anything like this before?

Hi Pur,
What we do in situations like that is give everbody a job to do. There are lots of things that need to get done. Find the place, get the route, check the clothes... you know. Even the little kids can draw pictures the night before about courage and success. Everybody is helping feels included and is asked for something. Everybody has something to focus on. We are less nervous that way and less likely to switch. We are a team.
Good luck. Hope you get a great job.

which one do they mean?
