No Use

Postby Kyttin » Sun May 18, 2014 5:11 pm

I am finding that there is no more use for me in my system. I was the one to help get through school, however we are not in school anymore and I do not have a purpose anymore. It is terrifying me that they will not need me anymore. I do not want to fade away because they do not need me. I do not know what to do anymore. Please help.

Why do you feel you need a purpose in order to exist? Don't you have a personality, hobbies? Interests? If so, what's wrong with you just being you?

I feel like I should have a purpose because I do not know what I can do in my free time when I am out. There is nothing I find more interesting than reading textbooks. I am a scholar and that is all I like to do. I do not know what else to do.

Hello Gary,

Is your system not going to college? You would be useful there. Also you are still useful if you store the knowledge of school for everyone. You are very useful if you're able to read textbooks without getting bored. Not many people can do that. Meaning, you can do the things that no one else in the system can do. You sound very smart. Perhaps if you could be a memory storer, or an organizer of the system. You could also be the one people call on when they want to learn something new but aren't sure where to start. You have use in the system, I promise.

How about learning everything there is to know about DID?
Our ''researcher'' did and it really helped our system a lot.
Or maybe you could start a new education, or maybe you study material without education? There's so much knowledge out there, partially thanks to the internet, there's no need for you to be bored. What do others in your system think?

*Shrugs* Then just keep doing what normally do. Knowledge is power. :)

I think my fear is just...well never mind, it is not important. I am getting what you are saying and think that could work. I do hold quite a bit of knowledge. We are going to go to college but not yet.

Reading and learning are always useful in my opinion, not only in school :)
Maybe you could really get into philosophy, psychology, history... anything that happens to interest you! You could become a brilliant intellectual like no other  Who would want to let go of such a source of wisdom and even pride?
I'm almost jealous - I'm so impatient myself and only read novels for teens or children!
Did you have a favourite subject in school? Probably that's where you'll find interests! I wish you all the best! :)

No I do not have a favorite subject. I enjoy them all. I will have to get textbooks from the library so I can continue studying and learning everything I can. I will be a good scholar, I will study as much as I can. Thank you for your replies. They have helped me a great deal.
