Hi, my name is Jacob. And I have DID. Me and my alter, Alistair, do not get along at all.We constantly fight and constantly fight over who gets to be out. Does anyone know of anyway to solve this?

It's not uncommon for alters to not get along or to have a lot of internal conflict- especially if you are newly diagnosed or not in therapy. The most important part of uniting your system is to understand it first- mapping. Also understanding that all "parts" are YOU. Increasing communication and awareness within system helps. Some alters are always in conflict. Are you in therapy?
For me it's understanding why protectors come out and building strength in core self to reduce the need for switching. Keeping self and others safe and reducing harmful reactions that trigger self harm. NeRly impossible without prof help.
