Police State, Trigger Warning

Postby Mae the First » Thu Sep 26, 2013 12:26 pm

Do your protectors ever declare a "police state"?

This is Mae. Something upset Elyse, and I'm taking control for the next week to give the situation time to pan out and settle down.

Does anyone else do this? I'm not looking for confirmation that this is "okay". This is what is best for us. I decide that. I'm simply curious if anyone else takes control like this.
Elyse (20), Ophelia (21), Ellie (4), Candy (13), Mae (23), Nevan (25), Marjorie (14), Georgia (27), Adam (23), Damon Black (24), Clara (25), Lily (17-25), Sammy (21), Alice (8); The Others are trying to get their lives straightened out.
Friendly hugs and ToE are fiiiiine ;3

Hi. I have noticed my Protector doing this in super stressful situations. At times I wondered if my Protector was behind the scenes controlling my whole system as well as in determining who could be out front and when. So yes this happens with us too.

We call ours 'lockdown'! When in times of high stress, or trigger, we go on lockdown, and the system and the host protect themselves by limiting visits and visitors, keeping our areas safe (including home and property) and going into self-care and preservation until the trigger/anxiety passes. Sometimes hours, days or even weeks.

When members of our system, frankly speaking, start acting like idiots, I will sometimes have to 'shut down' our system's free will for a while and direct what goes on (which they call entering a temporary dictatorship). In less extreme cases, I will supervise all inner and outer activities of the person/people that are putting us in potential danger, or assign someone to watch them that is the best equipped to handle the situation.
