Jealous part

Internal part is jealous of my partner and b/c it's a new revelation to the rest of us there is a sinking feeling that "oh, no. I will bring it up therapeutically. Very little wisdom on how to manage this. The internal part has a role and does not like relationship (very deep and significant) of the outer person. We all had little knowledge that this part could have these kind of jealous feelings (maybe it was denial). Getting help for this feels daunting.

For me this kind of intrapersonal (rather than interpersonal) relationship dynamic has been one of the most peculiar aspects of being a multiple. It is not unusual.

What does this jealous part want?

Could it be that s/he is jealous because s/he want the attention s/he feels you're giving your partner?

When I was dating Gatsby, he told me that Evo (another one of them) was jealous of me. I had no idea why, he was over popular among Gatsby's friends (whenever Evo was out, all of them adored him 'coz he has such a magnetic energy).

Like 4 months later, I was talking to Evo, and asked him if he loved Gatsby, and said he did. That with out him, they wouldn't have survived. I asked if he felt Gatsby loved him, he said no.

That's when I understood where his jealousy came from. My conclusion was that Evo felt Gatsby loved me more than he loved him.

Later that same day that I asked Evo. I asked Gatsby if he loved Evo, and if Evo was important for him. He hesitated but said yes. The thing was that Evo had disturbed so much Gatsby's life, that Gatsby was a little mad at Evo.

I remember telling him, that he was more important than me, 'coz he is; and to tell Evo how he felt about him, and to love him deeply.

So maybe your part wants to feel your love.
