I just remembered reading a message from an alter with his name in it, but I'm pretty sure now that it was a dream. I don't remember the name now, I just know it was a male name. I wonder whether it was an alter making contact with me through a dream.
I've also had a lot of dreams full of anger and violence, that I think are another alter's dreams or at least influenced by them.
I think there was a thread posted here a while back about other alters' dreams, but I really wonder whether you can share another alter's dreams without there being two bodies in the dream. I often have a feeling of being possessed in my dreams.
How do your dreams get influenced by alters? Do you watch other alters' dreams, do they influence your dreams, or are your individual dreams separate and only the one who's out at the time knows anything about the dream?
Thanks for any replies!

I usually dream until 2:00AM and my female alter dreams from them until I wake up. I am not aware of whether any of my other alters dream. I don’t remember all the dreams, mine or hers, but I am often aware of her or my dreams when I wake up.
Each of us are the person we are in our dreams. If me, her or other alters are in the dream, we are as supporting characters. If switching is part of the dream, it is either extremely difficult or ends the dream.

I don't remember enough dreams/have enough dreams to tell you a lot, but we have had an instance of almost everything you're asking.
Tom revealed himself in a dream, through a brief message with his name written and "hahaha." Turns out he's a mishief maker.
As for everything else, we've shared dreams, the others have had dreams I don't know about, switched during a dream and have had their influence change the dream (Tom again. I swear he has a connection to dreams.)

I have the suspicion that someone from the 3rd level is trying to contact some of us through dreams and visions. We've discovered/became more aware of a few of us via dreams and visions.
You can share dreams with others. We sometimes have a few of us active in a dream while in the physical body, other times we have our own bodies and look like ourselves (which always puts us in a good mood after). We have switched during dreams, both in the dream and physically (aka, someone goes to bed, we switch in the dream, I wake up). We sometimes remember each others dreams if we wake up both close to the body, but often times there's a wall separating the dreams because some of us only dream really graphic nightmares.
Dreams can also be altered from others too I'm sure. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure this has happened to us before. It happens (the outside influence) and can sometimes lead up to an in/out of dream switch.

My dozing of late has become strange. I can fall asleep in the sun, and the moment I do, I start dreaming very lucidly. At the same time, I am aware of the sun tingling my face and paranoid that somebody might walk by and notice me dozing and gesturing with my hand that my chin is resting on. When I come out of it, I'm not able to recall what happened but are left with the feeling that it was stressful or frightening. Could this be a portal into the on-goings of a very traumatized alter?

Absolutely common and normal. I've heard lots and lots of reports of this by DIDers on here.
I think there was a thread posted here a while back about other alters' dreams, but I really wonder whether you can share another alter's dreams without there being two bodies in the dream. I often have a feeling of being possessed in my dreams.
We have this a lot. Either with switching and seeing the body do things in dreams as well. I'd say that's normal too.
