Childhood photos

Postby Snuffthroostr » Sun Aug 25, 2013 2:44 am

Someone on Facebook posted a picture of his first grade class. People tagged everyone they knew and I recognized many of the names (from high school). I even recognized the teachers name. The only problem is that I don't know if I was in this class and there is a little girl that could possibly be me. It is the strangest thing to see a kid and not know if it was you. The clothes look foreign. The face looks like me to a point, but I am just not sure. The sad part is that ash of the kids are making their "smile for the camera" face, but not her. She has an almost devious look.

hmm that must be weird for you. I don't have many childhood photos, but in the ones I have, I mostly have a fake smile, because everyone always tried to make me smile for the camera. but you can see it's fake most of the time.
I never had trouble recognizing myself, oh wait, I did, and there's one group photo that I should be in but I'm not sure because I can't seem to find myself in it.
In all my childhood photos though, I can't really see the girl as me. I recognize who it's supposed to be, but it doesn't FEEL like me. I'd say it's a common feeling with DID because of all the switching. So I'd say you're at least not alone.
