I'm sorry to hear that AdamMZ. I hope you find some better help soon.
I'm confused about my appointment. It seemed to go very well and the psychiatrist understood everything I was talking about, about having other personalities with different memory sets etc. She gave me a recommendation of a therapist who she thinks would be very good for me and said that she would like for me to either integrate or get to the point where we are all co operating. She even said Ruby was also welcome to come to the appointment next time if she wanted!
However, I checked the diagnosis on my referral and she has diagnosed me borderline!! This is what I was afraid of, a misdiagnosis. I was worried about being diagnosed borderline or schizophrenic

I don't understand because it seemed clear in the appointment that she was suggesting treatment for a dissociative disorder. I know that I am not borderline and I want to get the right treatment.
But maybe it is not possible to give a diagnosis of DID based on one appointment? Might that the reason? Should I just make the appointment with the therapist she suggested and aim for a different diagnosis and correct treatment from there?
