Since my alters have chipped in it tends to be a blend of them all getting to decide on what jobs I do(n't) enjoy. Something with a uniform for Hraith, which deals with some aspect of problem-solving for Darius, preferably at night for Jackal and D.S., and Tiberius isn't allowed to weigh in. This means that while my productiveness fluctuates, no matter which of them is fronting I can still make it through a shift.
My current career path isn't quite as good for the two nocturnal girls, but Hraith adores it and it was his idea in the first place. Well... his idea to follow through on it, there was pondering from the self and Darius as well.

I do part-time government trainee work.

This first week I switched quite a bit.
But once I settled Jeremy got me into a routine with
blending and influence to get me into a healthy work pattern.

Now it's just the host. :D :D

Most of my alters are indifferent to my work.
But I aim for quiet methodical work. Predictable pattern and routine.
If I'm not stressing out and causing stress on the system they say shoot for the stars.
But if it is dragging me down they will start switch giving me hangovers on sunday.
Just wreaking havoc.

Even switching out and leaving work.

From what i can gather, i've only switched a few times at school so i guess i have it better than most... anyways, i can't control switches so i'm surprised i don't switch more at school. guess it all depends on the people and place.

Also, just wondering, how old was everyone when they first started switching? i feel too young for this at 15 XD
Currently known alters:
Host: Liam, 15, born with aspergers

Possible/probable alters:
mute/protector(?): dubbed Luke, main reason for my belief that I have DID.

I don't actually know whether I want DID or not... I'd always have someone to talk to, but it would probably ruin my future career... Meh, who needs money?

Hey, I'm very new to this forum, but I'm only 17. If nothing else, the whole concept of DID should prove that physical age has nothing to do with mental maturity.

Right now I'm having an increasingly difficult time with French class...and I'm in AP. Fifteen minutes into class every day, I either have a headache, fogginess, or (only once I know of) complete amnesia. I have to text a friend every day to find out if we had homework.

Can and do work. Stress does at times cause difficulty but taking it daily has significant benefits. One lead usually, different tasks distributed. Can not do much else.

I think so, sometimes, though I'm often co-conscious. I'll definitely be watching myself or even ocassionally lose time, I'm starting to notice. It seems I only lose time during things like work, class, and events, so I never realized until recently when I've been trying to notice because I never found myself elsewhere and knew where I was. But I definitely lose time at work during longer shifts. Six hour days often feel the same as my 3 hour ones, and I'll forget to take my break because of that!

I'm a very good worker though and have been promoted a few times, so at least I know whoever is coming out does a good job and won't get me fired!

In the past I would try never to introduce myself to someone new or ask their name, or give any other hint that I did not know them. I was trying to avoid being told they knew me, or revealing that I don't remember them. That happened anyway, of course. Always very embarrassing for me and, before my diagnosis, confusing too. What was wrong with me?!

As a kind of reality check on myself, in recent months at work I have been introducing myself to people who seem to be new to me. A shocking proportion of them inform me we have met before. Crap! Some seem amused or puzzled that I don't remember. Some seem annoyed or even offended. Oh well. Now I know who the narcissists are . . . or perhaps who has already noticed or been told about my DID, and who hasn't.

Dissociative amnesia sucks.

That happens here too. I am amazed at the amount of people that know me.

For being someone with so few friends I'm sincerely surprised at the amount of people who know me that I have no clue who is. I can only hope I have more friends, not mere acquaintances, that I have yet to discover

Since we all started to get along a few years ago, my alters and I have come up with a system for dividing up work and school tasks. During my part time job over the summers, some of my alters will come out and help with smaller or repetitive tasks if my mind is on something else, and sometimes my protector Yolanda will come out and help me with public speaking and interactions. However, most of the time, I am the one who is fronting. It works out better that way since the others usually have to stay inside and help control my hallucinations and twitching (I have no idea what's wrong with me, we are just dealing with it). We have never actually quarreled about having different careers, although I know Yolanda has more of an artistic side while I am more science minded. The others prefer to stay inside.

For school, we work a little differently. I am in a professional program right now, so our studying is really intense. So the others will help me organize my thoughts and memorization while I front and ask questions and take in info. Then the rest of them will help me with studying, and help look up answers for me in my memory during exams and practicals. I am the only one permitted to learn technical skills though, such as surgery and other clinical procedures. I am thinking of training Yolanda to do this too just in case, but so far it hasn't been needed. I don't seem to really need help when I'm given something that requires a lot of concentration or that puts you under a lot of pressure. Which is great for this profession. :)
