I was getting so tired of hiding it and not being able to talk about things involving my alts, so today I took in a letter I wrote her months ago and gave her it to read. When she was done, she smiled and told me she'd already suspected it for a little while but she wasn't sure if she should bring it up if I wasn't aware of it. She pointed out several times that I'd "slipped up" and said 'we" instead of 'I', or described things implying that it wasn't me in charge etc. She said she was so happy I'd told her because it meant our trust was developing a lot with her, and also that now she could gear our treatment towards the various parts of us, and be able to treat us better.
I'm SO freaking happy it went well!!! I handed her the letter half expecting her to read it and say there's no such thing as DID, or she doesn't treat it, or she doesn't believe me and I should get the hell out. But instead she said it makes complete sense that I'd have it given my past, and she said she's had DID clients before and would never ever leave someone or refer them out on the basis of that.
I feel so much more comfortable with her now, and even the alts that were against telling her are ok with her knowing now, given how awesome she was about it
