Alters getting along *tw*

So, Melanie(14) and Peter(16) have been giving my little, Carla(5) a hard time. They keep repeating this little poem(it's morbid and possibly triggering):

"Little Miss Carla
Went to the top.
Little Miss Carla
Went for a drop."

And then they giggle like it's the funniest thing in the world. Carla(5) doesn't seem to take too much offense to it, but it bothers me. Why would they make a sick little poem like that? Do you think maybe they feel like she gets more attention from me and Sarah(23)? I don't know, questions questions lol. I'm greatful for any input you guys can give me!!

When people fight/grind against each other in our system we try to keep them apart from another for a short time (maybe it's just a phase) or we set up supervision and a mediator to be present when they're together. It takes time and sometimes they need to be told that what they're doing is wrong (maybe they just see it as fun, when it's actually hurtful).

Communication between all parties is crucial if it is possible. Asking them why they are doing this, and asking Carla how she feels about their actions and getting them to talk it out with an objective mediator present may help.

Adding to Birch's comment, maybe you should join in the talks as well so that they can get your perspective since you are the one that has noticed/found their poem hurtful and possibly triggering.
