Hi, I want to present myself. :)

Hi everyone. :)

I've been reading a few posts on this forum for a while now and I thought it was time to make a profile of my own. And so I did. :)

I'm the SO of a rather large DID-system. Some of them are my girlfriends, some of them my friends, and the children and animals, which I love and care deeply for, are extremly special for me. Living with this kind of family makes DID a significant part of my everyday life, and I'm looking forward to both reading and discussing more about living with and around DID with others in here.

Thank you, Rachael! :)

I have been reading a bit here before, and it really seems like a nice place.

We're fine, thank you. I hope you and your system are fine too. :)

It always gives me hope when I see a SO come here and sign up and read posts. Glad to have you here. A lot of SO's wouldn't bother. Welcome :)

Thank you, bourbon. I also wish more SO's would come here, both to share their own thoughts and experiences as well as learn from others. :)

Hello Fullhouse Fullheart. I'm brand new here, so I don't think I'm established enough yet to say "welcome" but it looks like your presence here will be very much appreciated.

I'm not sure yet where I, or we, (or whoever!) actually stand, but I've been wondering how I might have to express myself to my gentleman friend about all this. He is a great guy, and I know would be 100% support if I were dealing with a physical malady like cancer or heart disease. It's good to know that there are people like you who are capable of love at many levels. I guess I will be finding out if he can do that too.

Thank you for posting!

If you gave him a novel and said Read this!, would he read it? You might give him the romantic mystery novel Set This House in Order by Matt Ruff. The description of one person with DID, as seen by another person, is very sweet and also very accurate. Your friend is likely to identify with the people in the novel, and you may too. You may see, in this novel, some of the magic he sees in you.

I say that as someone who not only has DID but also knows some other people with DID. They all have an indescribable, magical quality. So do you, even though you don't know it.
