An important question (Probable trigger warning)

Postby aspie1991 » Thu Jun 06, 2013 9:14 am

Lately I've been watching TV shows like Dexter (a character who's by day a Miami PD Blood Spatter Analyst but by night a serial Killer) however as a victim of abuse have been relating to Dexter Morgan and other victicious related respectively HOWEVER I AM IN NO WAY HOMICIDAL but as one who's been a victim to some really messed up forms of t*rture like said characters and I feel slightly more empathetic with said characters then I feel most however since I've gone through some pretty dark stuff that no one else should EVER fall victim to it more then makes me a pacifist however on some primal level (EVEN THOUGH I WOULDN'T in ANY way want to carry out these events) feel some sort of......relief? When Dexter eliminates a nefarious scum of the earth sort of charter. Is that relateable to y'all or your protectors? Again I can't help but feel defensive after being so f***ed over by my *busers but I feel so awkward and uncomfortable being so relate-able to such a dark character but (although not anywhere as dark as his origins) I've been through some dark stuff too. Again I'm IN NO WAY AT ALL HOMICIDAL AT ALL but I can't help but relate to him. Is that f***ed up?

Oh, hey there, aspie, hows it goin'?

Yeah, I never watched it but I can relate to what you're saying. I mean, of course people would feel relief, especially when they've been through a lot of $#%^, that some ###$ was wiped off the face of the earth.

I think that s normal - for Indie for instance - that s true too.

She loves horror films and is all like: see - that s it - that s what happened to me - that s what should happen to them
kinda thing.

Not sure if that s what you mean?

I think that s why dark music is loved by people too, cause it says how dark things can get - without you needin to act upon the lyrics or content.

love

ah, you are not faulted for it. i see reflections of my life as it has been within this show. it is the same coin, so we accept it. at times it is sought - thrills of company who love in this madness.

in truth i think dexter a bit too tame and continuously humanized; he is less a predator than myself, where i am ruthless. i prefer other killers; in going after victims they have no limits. dexter justifies a moral code where none is necessary. ah, but perhaps that is for the audience so they might sympathize.

of course, i am passionate about such things - homicidal as my nature. that you relate to him speaks well of you, i believe. his vengeance and cause is not unbridled bloodlust. i can not say the same for myself, and so at turns dexter annoys me. i digress.

were he not fictional, i would assert myself into his dating pool even so. i laugh.
