It's So Quiet..

Postby Mae the First » Sat May 18, 2013 10:27 pm

I don't know why, but for the past few weeks, everyone has been almost silent. Mae's said a few things here and there, and sometimes Ellie will pop out, but I've got 72 others in here, and they're all quiet! Or more like.. they're active, but I can't even sense them.

I wonder if it's a medication I'm on, it's new that I've been on it consistently. But also the last time this happened, Mae said it was because Blue "didn't need them right now".

Has this happened to anyone? How can I reach them again?

Friendly hugs and ToE are fiiiiine ;3

It could be the medication. What are you taking?

It could also be possible that your system doesn't not feel the need to be all out and about currently. Mine becomes much more active in times of stress and danger - when all is safe and quiet people get lazy :-)

It shows an excessive tenderness for the world to remove contradiction from it and then to transfer the contradiction to reason, where it is allowed to remain unresolved.

Sometimes quietness occurs with certain change within a system, or it seems like alters are not needing anymore, and so they're just hanging around.
Actually, this has been happening in our system for about a few weeks. The inside's bustling with activity, but Faith (host) can't hear everything hat's going on unless she focuses, so she's thinking there's no activity when there's plenty.

I'm on Mexitil for a 2-year-long migraine, and I just started really taking it consistently. I don't know if it has anti-psychotic properties or what (though I would never say us multiples are psychotic! Pff!).

I miss them, my fiance misses them, ugh! Do you think maybe meditation would help?

I just looked up that drug and could not find anything, other than that it is actually been developed to treat heart problems. But if it alleviates migraines, it certainly does something to the brain...

Headaches can be a symptom of DID, so if the meds shut them down maybe they shut down communication as well? (I'm not a doctor, so just wildly speculating).

Could you change to different meds and see if that helps?

Meditation is definitely a good idea in any case!

I have an appointment this week to meet with that doctor who prescribed it, maybe they can put me on something else. I'm finding that blogging is kinda helping them come out, a free-write-style thing.
