We're so sorry that you're feeling bad and hope that you'll be better soon, Dotty.

We're feeling a bit low today. Last night there was an issue with one of our non-system friends. A lot of people in our friend group are systems, but one or two aren't. Unfortunately, one of our system friends mentioned that one of their headmates uses racial slurs. Their host won't utter them and the system is trying to get that alter to stop using them.

Unfortunately, our non-system friend doesn't understand. Her partner (who is also a system) has a lot less amnesia and a lot more control over their system. Our non-system friend got very upset and didn't understand that this is something that happens. We think it got worse when the system friend mentioned that one of their alters is, in the headspace, of a different race than the body. Also, something that happens. We think that she is just so used to those she interacts with most often having fantastical alters, but not every system is like that. As far as we can tell, the reason why our system has fantastical alters is because we spent the vast majority of our life inside books.

We just wish she'd understand that we don't have control over what our alters look like or how they develop.

Take care,
Violette

I'm thankful for the concern and understanding.

I'm sorry that one of your system friends is havinga hard time and I know how hard it is when someone's alters uses slurs taht you would never use. Our Bridie has low self worth and she calls herself bad words that I'd rather not utter, but they're the kind of things that we were called as an autistic child in school. I wish your friend the best and I hope you're not under too much stress too.

I got through the night which is good. Still having temps without the central line in use which is concerning and weird because if it's not the wee and it's not my IV line, what is causing these high temps? I know the doctors will work it out in a few days, I just hope it's sorted quickly

And to TS, we certainly understand chronic pain, and it's not fun, but this is different then even the joint pain we get sometimes. While we just can't do sometimes during the colder months because of said pain, and need help from our parents to cook or do some of our medical stuff, this, unless I can get numbing gel or morphine quickly, makes me burst out crying which as a mostly adult alter is not ideal. It also just makes Bridie dissociate heavily and if she has that pain she can't notice any other pain which sucks and I wish my little girl had an easier time.

Wish everyone the best, and I'll update when I have answers from the doctors tomorrow.

yes we have experienced severe acute pain too years ago when we got a blood clot in our leg it doubled in size. I think it triggered sciatica in the back too and even trying to move an inch made us scream out in pain and gasp. We was in a bed a couple of weeks as I guess some of the clot broke off, we had a cough for a couple of weeks but then it moved again (or more broke off) and we had a stroke.

That kind of pain is awful and yes had us (adults) in tears too everytime we had to try and move even just a little. :( we also needed strong doses of pain relief! Kit endured most of the pain up to the point of the stroke which triggered a switch leaving a teen alter stuck out front for a while and no-one else could get to the front to help. But everyone in the system survived.

I hope your doctors can work out the source of your infection so you can return home. I'm sure once your other alters know they are back home safe again they will feel safer too to come back out to help.

Hey Sue

Really sorry you've been through all that. That stuff isn't good at all. We've had blood clots before but in our arm from PICC Lines but luckily they've all been treated, though they're more common when we have PICC lines now due to estrogen so we try to stay to central lines. Unfortunately it is the central line that is infected.

On antibiotics now, all going good I can go home tomorrow, but all is probably not good so I will have to wait until Tuesday at the earliest when they can put a new line in, provided the infection continues. (Monday in America time) to go home.

Otherwise, been reading a book called The Man Who Died Twice which is just a nice comfy mystery novel about old people trying to solve a mystery. It's calming which is good. ALso reading a lot of fantastic four comics. If I'm not going home tomorrow I'll get the switch in too.

Our lovely Kitty has been helping me a bit, she's very lovely and we had a surprise visit from Hecate who doesn't front long any more because she developed bad anxiety after a therapist disclosed some stuff our headkids told her. We see a different therapist now.

Hope everyone is doing good. Love you all

Hi

Sorry I havent replied sooner! ..a medical issue here triggered Kit and it's difficult if not impossible to switch out with her when she's triggered by medical issues. She acts as if the entire system is in danger of being 'locked up for life' if we are discovered.

We are still very much a covert system. Our GP's know of our Autism and neurological issues but only the official host (or someone specifically pretending to be 'her)' has ever fronted in front of a medical professional. Sadly we have very bad experience of 'mental health services' in our country which Kit carries and will never trust again.

I'm trying to remain calm but Kit's hyperviligance and anxiety has sent our blood pressure high! ..it doesn't help that we now can't sort or find anything out until Monday morning! We only like 3hrs sleep last night. Needless to say the Tinnitus is back with a vengance like a constant fire alarm going off in the background!

LS is being kept inside for now so won't be out this weekend though she did enjoy her 'work experience' earlier this week and wants me to tell you (Dotty) she enjoyed talking to you and Bridie.

Hopefully our situation will be resolved by Monday morning so Kit will calm down and LS can come and visit again.

Take Care all

Thank you!!!!!

Dotty here again. I'm not having a good night. our iv lines tissued like 3 times today so that was poopy and we're real hot tonight so no way we're going home tomorrow. Gonna beg the doctors to take the central line out.

Understand the whole being locked up thing. LUckily with out medical issues we can't be locked up like that and we work with doctors and nurses who know about us which is good because it means Bridie can get the help she needs because she keeps fronting for pain reasons after a merge with a sexual headmate who is also a kid. I can get the help I need too!!!!

We're still trying to sort things out with Dr's surgery. The health visitor did come back for the sample.... we have been keeping an eye on our blood pressure readings as they were much lower when I have taken them before but Kit was a the front when the HV turned up unexpectically...

I asked Kit to take a reading when she was fronting and she gets consistently higher readings than I do when I'm at the front even for the same time of day.... has anyone else had this happen with different readings when different alters are fronting. Our watch isn't showing a significant spike in heart rate???

Kit's gone deeper inside to see if I can bring our BP down further with some meditation later. For now we are trying to keep things very calm and quiet at the front including no stressful video games that increase the heart rate either.

Hopefully the Dr will get back to us sooner rather than later and relieve some of the stress by letting us know the results of the blood test and sending us a new prescription.

Mhm!

Bridie gets a faster heart rate then me when were in pain and Emily has lower blood pressure than the rest of us. It's werid but anthing that can be changed by hwo your brain is thinking can be changed by switches. It's kinda silly.

Didn't sleep good last night, doctors thought it was a good idea to leave a little girl in pain all day and all night. doctors are so mean/

good luck

Being in pain constantly is no fun! ... I'm thinking of seeing if 'Yuna' can come forward and see what her BP is, if its lower than mine and Kit's, she can front when they come back to re-check it.

It seems our BP is high because our kidney function is low - blood test showed this apparently..I thought they only testing for TSH levels (for thyroid medication levels) and I didn't know this but it can also affect your ears and Tinnitus...because kidneys filter??? .. and something to do with water and dehydration levels..(Dr lost me to be honest..I'm going to have to read up on it!) I don't even know where our kidneys are or what they do!!

I guess this is a consequence of feeling disconnected from the body you're in too!

Kidneys filter yucky stuff out of your blood, and you wee it out. Medicine tends to go through your kidneys and your liver, so if stuff doesn't go into your cells you wee it out. They're kind of in your back to the sides a bit above y our belly button. I'm sorry your kidneys aren't doing great, that's really serious. Hope tehy can be happier soon. Maybe you just need more water. Hydration is real important for us because we dehydrate super easy so we gotta be on like 3 litres of IV fluid a day.

I got the pain relief sorted in the end but my shoulder still hurts heaps form getting the line out so they're taking a ultrasound tomorrow. Hopefully it's all good, but it could be a haematoma and if it is they might have to treat it. That's when blood pools up inside you after surgery, but they only operate on them sometimes, we got one operated on after we got our girl bits.

I watched some star trek today it was really fun, it's star trek prodigy which is the kids show but its a bit too big of a kids show for me but It's really fun so I wanna stick with it but I also wanna just watch something less scary.

Good night,

DOtty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
