Hi, all!

I have good news ... nothing significant is happening in my life today. I hope you know what sigh-of-relief moment yourself. It's nice to be here.

We saw the eye doctor yesterday and all went well. I wasn't impressed (positively) by the chinsy selection of frames my insurance provider had picked out for me, but! I found purple frames! :D You don't know it, but purple is my favorite color. Shoot, my hair in the inner world is purple! So, even though I dislike the rectangular shape of the frames, they are my favorite color, so it doesn't matter much. :)

You know ... I haven't had an alter split off with a traumatic memory since Saturday. It's odd to me because it seems to coincide with our realization that "dealing" with the memories in the way we were wasn't actually having a positive impact on our system. Nothing really changed for the better, we just got more bad news about our abuse multiple times every day. I'm glad it's stopped. Moral is certainly up. :)

I hope things get better for everyone else.

i've been drawing a lot today. feeling really good because we switched yesterday and it's felt so good, like a huge weight off of my chest. teef was fronting for most of the day yesterday and it was great, even if he started a bit of a fight somewhere online. i enjoyed watching it though, just a little bit

i'm now listening to a very good playlist while trying to prepare myself mentally for the cleaning i'll have to do on the house when our sister wakes up. she and mom are going out of town for a couple weeks on saturday, and we get to be home alone the entire time, just us, the animals and whatever we want to do that entire time. i can't wait honestly. we'll finally be left alone for a while.

We're in a strange mood todayI ..can't find the word to describe it.

I got up and exercised and had a protein shake and a kind of single mindedness to the day (at least to start with!) ..planned my healthy dinner for later - chicken & vegetable tray bake (1 cal spray oil, no sauce) but now that's out of the way, there's kind of a strange 'wishy-washy' feeling. I'm not sure who I am again...this seems to be something that's only started since menopausal symptoms have increased recently.

I can feel others near the front but can't work out who, and they seem unsure to whether they are motivated to come out and do anything, they seem erm...'lethargic' ... haven't got the energy to decide whether to leave me out front or come forward and suggest something or do something themselves.

I'm looking round and the place is a tip! Lots of tidying needs doing but I'm finding myself wondering if I have the energy to get through it, although started the day off great until the others came closer to the front with their 'lethargic feeling'.

The dog wants something to play cos its raining outside so he can't go lie in the sun, the dog always gets priority to get his needs met first (being an 'external life' we are responsible for) so I guess I'll start there and see if I can find some 'spare energy' later to get started on tidying up!

its been an interesting day. the cleaner came, arriving early for a change. we ran a quick errand together then we had zoom.

she's nice, far better than the previous guy, but even so we really don't like people in our apartment. it's stressful and feels like a violation of our safe space.

no other obligations today, the pharmacy delivered our meds this morning.

So, good news/bad news: Some of our guys have become quite okay with our body being female. However, now they have complained that our breasts are too small! Computer, end program.

doing pretty well so far. got some good music on and i'm relaxing.

teef has also been out a lot more, fronting yesterday and i think he made a bunch of these bracelets that are sitting on my desk right now. i just checked and he even partially started helping with another bracelet i'd started making, which is awesome. this is just the kind of small project we can work on together as a system.

my sister and mother are also going out of town for two weeks starting on saturday, so we'll be home alone the entire time, and that's pretty neat i think. we'll get the whole house to ourselves. we'll even get to stay inside, where it's air conditioned. hopefully mom will give us the $55 she owes us so that we can go up to the store and buy extra stuff if we need it.

hopefully it'll be fun.

We are a bit ashamed to be too tired / unmotivated to go to the post office and send the Bday package to our friend. But, well. Let's do self-care first.

The dentist yesterday was expensive, though it was only a simple cleaning. I hope it will be covered by our insurance.

We will try to rest today. We had a lot of emotionally draining issues lately. Nothing big, for example G/Hosties miscalculated their movements while making a hot cocoa and poured cocoa powder everywhere on and under the table, and so on - but all of them piled up together with our hypersensitivities lead to exhaustion.

Rest is in order.

self-care is important! having a quiet day today. been playing with Lego so might do more of that.

sister and mom are out of the house for 2 weeks officially, so we get to stay inside the house and relax a bit with the animals and the TV. it's way chillier out here than it is in the garage, so i'll have to wear my hoody and pants instead of my shorts and tank top that i've been wearing.

i also got the 55 dollars mom owes me, but she gave me 60 dollars instead, so that's nice. maybe we'll go up to the store later today and buy some chow mein and canned ravioli. and ketchup, since we're out.
