a lot of times I do things like that and it helps me feel in control. I am a worried cleaner...... here's my take:

ignoring stuff is the head in the sand technique. that's okay but eventually it gets to you. enter the getting $#%^ done phase. where you feel like you are doing something. finish working and all the anxiety and worry you've been distracting yourself from comes crashing down like a ton of bricks.

when I get like that writing helps. but I'm a pencil and paper kind of girl. I'll make to do lists or work on my schedule or just write down every damn thing I'm worried about. getting it out helps. and taking any steps I can take. helps.

When you feel lonely, don't you try to figure out what you can do to take care of that? Why are the rules different for your mother? What if you only visited her when (if) you want to?

Also, I'm sorry your back hurts.

We've got to go see the doctor for a post-op check. Hopefully we'll get the all-clear to exercise again--it's driving us crazy to be so sedentary.

Thanks Gang. We hope the post-op check went ok and you're all clear! :)

As for our mother... I wrote a long angry post but decided to put it in our journey thread cos its too much for this thread.

Thanks, V2. Yes--everything healed up well. We were upset about something else that happened at the doctor's appointment on Monday, but we were cleared to do whatever we want.

Now we're dealing with something upsetting that happened today with the T. NoName posted about it in the Protectors thread.

We have a class we signed up for that starts tonight, so we're a little nervous about it.

Glad you're healing well, Gang.

We're experiencing a little internal friction and are addressing it. It would be nice to have some overall peace inside. :?

Hi,

Colin is mad. Evan is scared. I'm feeling worthless. And Host is distracted. Everybody's acting like these are separate things but they're not. We're a team people! We've got to fix this together.

When they say 'be yourself',
which one do they mean?

Hey Iain - we hope you all can start cooperating again. You work really good when you're all doing the teamwork stuff.

MDs sorry you're having some friction. We hope you get some peace and things start going smoothly again.

Hi Viola,

Yeah, it was pretty good. We did ok with all the introducing stuff. We HATE thinking of "one interesting fact" about ourselves, but we came up with something we could live with.

Iain, I hope you guys get together about whatever happened and figure it out. It sounds rough.

MDs--sorry something's going on inside. Hope you're able to work it out without too much trouble.

I think we've just about worked out the big upset with the T, but we lost a lot of sleep last night over it. Sigh.

Thank you, everyone. It helps to have the understanding and support of people here.

Hoping that everyone has a peaceful weekend (and holiday, if applicable).
