Hey everyone,

We're back from the hospital. It absolutely sucked. Way more pain than we expected. Then last night we had a roommate who had like a dozen visitors there till like ten or eleven pm, it was like a frickin party. They were bringing in pizza and stuff.

Meanwhile the hospital kitchen messed up our food every single time, kept bringing us food we cannot eat. So all we've eaten in 3 or 4 days is like, 2 eggs and a piece of cheese and a bit of zucchini.

And they were so stingy with drugs. Why even ask how much pain we're in if all you're gonna offer is an over the counter regular strength tylenol. We won't even take that crap for headaches cos its useless.

Yesterday evening was the lowest point, we got to where we wanted to be home, or just dead, either way would be better than there.

For the most part everyone stayed hidden inside. Spoke with Rebecca at one point, asked (begged) her to take over so I could disappear, but she wouldn't do it. Melissa sorta surfaced at one point and was scared and wanted to cry but we had our stuffy there, and then a doctor came and scared her away.

So finally home now. Still in a ton of pain, the doc says its gonna be like up to 4 weeks before we're all better. Can barely walk around at all which super sucks. A few days ago we were like a weekend athlete, now we're an invalid.

Gonna try and take it easy the rest of today. Take care.

Hi V2! Glad to hear from you and that you're home now. I'm sorry that it sucked :(, take it easy, be kind for yourself. You did it:)

Glad your home and the hospital sounds like they were useless for helping your recovery.

Glad you're back, V2. Sorry you're hurting.

Still sneezing here. We're on our second cup of coffee. Can't remember whether we pressed Decaf or 50-50 on the machine.

Then we came back to our desk and realized we'd sneezed all over it. Eeeewwwww.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Spending the night in our own bed was pretty darn good. Not being woken up every hour or so by nurses or roomies or other various beeping whatevers was all right.

Hospitals are pretty unpleasant when you're hypervigilant at night. Like any noise nearby and instantly wide-awake. Just one quiet footfall at the doorway and eyes open wide awake, every time nurses came into the room to check something.

Now unfortunately we gotta try and start catching up on work today. Downside of being selfemployed is no sickdays, no time off, noone to cover for you. Work, or starve. Luckily we work from home and it's mostly desk-work, but it's still something we wish we didn't have to do right now.

MDs, we hope you finally get over your illness and start feeling better!

Raptureblues, did the ginger drink help? Sorry you have to deal with that, nausea sucks.

Glad you're feeling safer, V2.

Much improvement in the nasal department. Joseph would love to have a giant vacuum cleaner that just sucks all the snot out of our system. He calls it the Port-A-Snot. Years ago, he envisioned the Port-A-Fart, which sucks away undesirable body smells. Too bad he's only 8.5; he could have been a millionaire.

Sipping a 50-50 coffee as we try to avoid work. Gonna have to get something done soon, though.

while we were out and about with a friend of ours we passed by a coffee shop with outdoor seating. Suddenly a guy popped up and with a big smile on his face asked to hug us. Taken aback, we agreed and he gave us a very non-guy hug, a real, squishy, loving hug while he said he was happy to see us.

Only one problem, we have no clue who he was.
