Just typed up our letter of resignation. :( We don't qualify for a medical leave as we haven't been with our employer long enough, and many of us can't stand the thought of being there long enough to fulfill that requirement. (Burn-out.) Even I'm hoping they'll let us go sooner than two weeks from now, but we would like the money ... it just doesn't seem worth the struggles.

Last day to actually work before our "leave". One more three-hour shift ... then vacation?? Excitement!

I'm going back to school in less than a month. I really don't want to and want to take a year off but my mom disapproves. Despite asking me what I want to do, she says I have no choice but to go back and pursue a degree in a career I have realized doesn't work for me. So frustrated.
I have ADHD. Possibly have another mental disorder but am not certain.

I wouldn't suggest dropping school. Because a year will quickly turn into a few years. However, I would highly suggest you do a study in what interest you. I had a friend long ago that hated her field of study. Her entire family wanted her to be something that she wasn't interested in. So one day after being miserable and wanting to quit I spoke with her and I told her to do what makes her happy, not her family. Because it's her life and she will be the one living it day to day, not her family. She threw away three years of schooling and changed her degree. Now she has a really good job, making a ton of money, doing what she loves. Imagine that.

Five others that don't talk on here. Perhaps one day.

We have our own horror story of what happened after going back to school when we didn't want to, but I can't imagine things would go that wrong for you. One problem was that we were in the wrong field and we didn't realize that until we got into the 300-level courses. Everything else we took then was a requirement for graduation. We hated every class. Three months into the semester, we had to drop out. That was 7 years ago. Although we have returned to college, we still don't come close to having a degree.

DO study what you want to, Viola! It's your life. Take care of yourself.

i earned the ever loving $#%^ out of my paycheck this week.

I'm a bad ass.

gearing up for 10 day stretch of busy. kid is going back to school and needs clothes, shoes, etc. terribly behind on house and laundry. kids grandma (think mother in law without the law) is coming. shitballs and firecrackers. 3 evening commitments in a row next week. all on top of the workload.

forever juggling and balancing. one more business trip in October. ###$.

whatever. I'm a bad ass. i can do it! need to get serious on my calendar and block out some downtime.
