Thanks for the Black Friday info. It sounds horrendous. We have a Boxing Day sale, which is always pretty popular - but not to that extent. Besides, it clashes with the first day of the Boxing Day Test (cricket), so there's something way more important happening. Maybe the USA should consider holding some kind of sporting match on Black Friday to create a non-materialistic distraction.

This weekend I'm celebrating Christmas (early) with my siblings. They will do the family thing closer to the day with the parents, but because I've pulled out of the family thing, they found time to bring all the cousins together for a play and present exchange. Should be fun.

My mom yelled at me for buying a mattress without asking her first and said that I shouldn't make significant moves without consulting her first. Really frustrating because I want to be a person who makes their own decisions, is self-reliant, etc. and she is trying to encourage me to depend on her, when I don't feel that I can safely rely on her.

Other than that... I feel more and more fragmented than ever before, almost like I'm a façade that is slowly being pulled apart. Worse recall... feels like the last four days went by in the span of one.

One of us feels broken. I haven't helped as much as I've been mean (even jokingly.) Feeling a little guilty about that, but it's hard to pour yourself into the outside and the inside at the same time ):

Hoping everyone is doing well.

I spent an hour and half being yelled at by my mom last night for everything under the sun. It started with her yelling at me over not being happy with what I have for a presentation and then like usual, it spiraled into her yelling at me for every mistake I've ever made. So I feel even lower than usual today, not that I feel very great on a normal basis.

Yeah, mom's can suck. Sorry for the pain they are causing you both. Mine and my wife's both cause us a bunch of grief. My wife read a book about boundaries a few years ago and with the help of her defender, they have successfully turned their relationship with their mother in a more positive direction, but not always. But my wife's defender has become quite eloquent with the help of the other girls and so she remains calm when her mom is railing and foaming, but the defender just holds her ground until her mom calms down.

I wish I could say things were better with my mom or family, sigh...

Been very busy at work, which is why we haven't been here all week. To those who are struggling, we send good thoughts; to those who are doing well, we send congrats.

Hi to LittleMie,

I am going to start a separate thread "Thread for Pagan Topics." So that we can talk about it and not trigger people.

Hello MDs
I have responded to Jeannine's thread. We are aware of the triggering factor we have trouble within our system because I frighten people. Please see what I have written and check it is ok for Jeannine. I worry lots about Littles.

Physically we're all feeling poorly. Mentally, I'm (Jaxx) as chilled and relaxed as ever, A-Jay is bouncing off the walls (personally I think he may be a bit manic), Freddie & Gray are asleep as they feel very sad. Emily is happy to have met new friends. Joel is extremely low and doesn't want to talk to anyone. Kat is frustrated to high heaven as her wife bought her Christmas present off E-Bay and it's come with pieces missing, which is a shame but they will be able to rectify it (I hope).

Hope everyone else is okay :D

Emily - 4 (Nearly 5)
