Ah, we're familiar with the rapid transitioning as well. It is very irritating at times. Sometimes when we experience this, we focus on something that one of us likes (like a book or particular tv show), and try to encourage them to front for a longer time to avoid that mental fatigue and general state of chaos.

It has to do with the moon, I'm pretty sure. I always get a bit nutty around a full moon and we all know how often our transitional rate increases around that time...

To The King, deep breaths, it can be chaotic and frustrating, but the state will pass in time. Nothing lasts forever (hopefully this is some comfort to you)

And she just hijacked my post... I have found that getting drunk or *tw*high *tw can sometimes make us transition more rapidly.

I actually know that feeling. During the day we are more switchy and the evening terror if I do fall asleep an alter who is it triggered by the full moon sits up and stares at it. But I didn't have the heart to tell him off when I caught him.

Drinking causes us to violently switch many times usually the same people but its chaotic and dangerous at times.
It as if rips a down some of the walls between us and self medicates in all the wrong ways. Alcohol and other things I believe can be potentionally dangerous for a system. but it'd be hyporcritical if I said we didn't drink.

I don't now how much help this is but caffeine, I've learned to avoid it. I don't know what it is about a lot of caffeine but it makes my switching sooooooooooo much worse :( and don't worry. Things WILL pass. They always get worse before they get better. ~jackilyn

In time David might learn other coping skills but for now it's good enough that he doesn't overdo it and makes the body sick. Baby-steps. Can't break a longstanding habit just like that, especially if it's used to cope with things. It's funny how I recognize this taking drugs 'against your will'.

David? If you are implying he wont understand you, how can you be so sure of that?
