Wow, I am really impressed with your determination, Yaku, and your actually including everyone in your signature. This is extremely affirming of them and of your reality. Putting your selves in a signature here owns your reality in a deeper way, even if you can't hold on to that ownership at every moment. And as long as they remain there, perhaps they'll feel a bit more that they are believed, that it's acknowledged in some concrete place that they're not making things up. Hurt children need to be believed, for starters.

I have something similar that may not have quite as much overt self-blame but when something goes wrong, I look to see what I might have done that had anything to do with things happening the way they did. I know this is from my parents doing random bad things and us always looking to see if we could have done things differently, said something differently, or at least seen it coming and run and hid.
