He brought to the table that then, anyone could retreat to their private room whenever they wanted, & also, SO's could come. There could be guidelines put in place that the SOs are there to support our mission & purpose ONLY, & that they can have their own support group meetings, not necessarily 'entirely', but at least allowing us to have the time we all might need to meet our own needs/goals. Certainly over the course of 5 days or a week or whatever, we could all meet with our SOs as well.
For those without a current SO, especially if afraid to travel alone, we can talk about it & work something out. I am not afraid to travel alone & have done it many times. I found it exciting & adventurous. But, if someone really wants to attend desperately needing help, I will make it my mission to see that it happens even if it costs me a layover in another city.
Totally open to discussion on the whole thing. We could meet on the beach of a lake in the middle of the country for all I care, I just want us DIDs to meet & to have a heart felt connection to life-long friends.
BTW, cruises are way cheaper than I once thought. My T said whatever we decide, land or sea, he will use his experience that he gained while making his own vacation plans throughout the last 39 years available to us so that we get the best rates & make sure all expenses are inclusive if it applies to what we decide.
Let me know what you think?
