Hey

Postby user110867 » Tue Mar 05, 2013 1:18 pm

Why am I able to feel Logan's emotions and hear his thoughts or just KNOW what he's thinking at times? It can't really do this with the others and I always assumed that it was impossible for alters to read one anothers thoughts and emotions. If Logan is out, I am able ot feel his emotions most of the time along with hearing his thoughts or just having images or a vibe that let's me know what's on his mind.

Just means he's closer to you :) (Closer in consciousness, be that co-consciousness, communication etc).

A good thing and a sign of healing :)

I would have to agree to integration, though, right? It couldn't accidentally happen, could it? because Logan and I both aren't ready for that.

Integration is one way of healing, amongst others are also co-consciousness and cooperating :) So no, co-consciousness doesn't mean that you'll somehow just integrate. You can never know if you spontaneously integrate (while being co-conscious, without having communicated much at all -- I don't know what it would require, it's different for each system I assume) but if neither of you are ready, it won't happen.

I wouldn't worry if I were you - it just means you are better at communicating with him :)

Okay. Good. :) I'm always scared that i'll wake up one morning and he'll be gone and integrated and I really don't want that.

That's sweet and sad at the same time. I really wouldn't worry. If neither of you want it, odds are it won't :) Thinking of you.

** possible trigger: talk of integration **
He won't be gone with integration, if he integrated. You and him would be melted together, and fuller together (as abilities etc. of each part are added together). But I don't think that will happen anytime soon suddenly, as there is still conflict (IIRC).
** end **

When I just came into contact with parts, I usually just knew what they wanted. With some other parts, it doesn't go that easily (they're indeed 'further away'). I don't have much contact with one that's really depressed that way, for example. I can't really share feelings (only thoughts and wants, I think). So, it just depends.
Dx: PDD-NOS. Tested for dissociative disorders and PTSD but they say the symptoms are attributable to PDD-NOS.

nope, not impossible.

with increasing our abilities to be co-conscious and co-hosting with each other, we can often "read" or "hear" each others' thoughts, we can "share" each others' feelings, we can sense what each other is feeling/thinking, we can sense each others' reactions, all that type of stuff.
