We all are very specific about which colors we choose to type in, colors of clothes we wear, colors of makeup we wear, colors of jewelry, everything. And it finally makes so much sense as to why. I mean, I know everyone has favorite colors and such, but our favorite colors just seem to "go deeper" than most peoples', and know we know why- we use color to express things, help us identify ourselves, others, and emotions, to help "set the tone" of things, and to help us connect with things (like a happy song to us can be seen as a "yellow song"). I've noticed we don't usually consciously think that way, like we don't walk around going, "Today's a red day", but we do use colors and immediately get color responses in our mind. Like if someone walks up to us and says, "I'm depressed", we'll get flashes of blues, blacks, grays and sometimes images like tears or dark storm clouds or something, because apparently that's what helps us to identify what being depressed entails and is like/feels like.
