problem

i cant seem to switch out. i keep trying to go inside to get someone, but i cant. every time i try to go inside its like i get pulled back out. no one else seems to be around. i tried some of the triggers i know of for LElly, but it doesnt seem to be working.

Have you tried music or books?

yeah. i tried all the things that i know trigger them, LElly in particular since shes the easiest to trigger. even the twins arent responding.

Things I do when this happens:

1) Try any triggers I can, including calling for them. Listening to favorite songs of their's, eating favorite foods, wearing favorite clothes, watching favorite movies, doing favorite activities, anything that might help "call" to them and help them to come forward.

2) Meditate, or focus quietly. I focus on what they look like, what they sound like, what they'd say, as I call their name and ask for them, and I try to look for them as well inside the inner world if I'm able to (sometimes I'm blocked from that entirely).

3) A combo of the first two things, like listening to someone's favorite song while wearing a favorite clothing item while focusing on what they look like and calling their name.

4) I fight against the barrier inside (for me, it's usually like a brick wall). I slam into it, push against it, beat against it, all while calling names and such, and sometimes, I manage to break through.

5) Sometimes, there's nothing I can do about it, and I just have to wait to try calling for the others again, or just wait until the block is gone. Sometimes the block is intentional, sometimes it's not. Sometimes it's from an alter like an introject, and sometimes it's from the others who are trying to deal with something inside or something. Sometimes, all you can do is wait it out. Just try to stay calm and distract yourself with positive things until the block goes away. Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself. Being blocked out can be very stressful, but try to realize that if you can't do anything about it, there's no point in getting all worked up over it until the situation changes.
