My DID System Map 2013 (hope this is helpful to others)

Yeah, I see it too... I thought it was just my phone.

I hope it goes back to normal soon. I might have to fix my signature until it does. It's driving others' OCD crazy.

This is a very detailed System Map. I think that I'll try do make mine like this too.

The only way I know it took a lot of work (and a lot of time) was from the dates on the document (when I started it versus when I last edited it, so when it was finished), and from the fact that I was so mentally drained when I'd come out to find that on my computer or after watching myself work on it (since it was mainly Hawk that did the System Map stuff).

(Of course, I suppose it didn't help that I'd skipped at least a year for mapping out my system, so there was a lot to add, edit, catch up on, etc. Usually I try to edit the map after any changes, or at the very least annually, but I'd slacked off for a while since the last time I mapped out everything).

It's interesting to me now to look back on older maps and see how much has changed, and also how much as stayed the same in some aspects. (Also helps keep my timeline in order a bit, doing the annual mapping-out thing).


(Yay, it's back to normal and stuff is "bold" again! Hooray!)

I love this! We're working on one of our own, an updated one from the other we did a couple weeks ago. You gave a great structure for anyone wanting to do the same.

Oh man. Got myself stuck inside for a while there. Taking care of stuff inside then couldn't get out again for some reason. Not that I don't like it inside, but after a while you tend to miss the real world, least I do. Freedom at last, whoooo!

Oh man, how long? Wait- to make sense? Not quite sure what you mean by that, sorry. Rain's been helping Cassandra make system maps since like, the later year(s) in high school, after we realized that there was such a thing as DID and that it basically explained everything for us (and after we got a somewhat diagnosis, but that was thanks to a skeptical doctor). So, these things have been making sense for a bit now, but we've definitely added on to them with the more we learn. Like before, our system maps just consisted of name, age, brief description, and whether or not the alter liked the current boyfriend we had, pretty much. Now that we've learned about roles, types, and more about each other in general, we can get a lot more detailed and organized and understand a lot more about ourselves and our system.

This particular map took me and Rain around... wait, how long have I been inside? Oh man, it's February?? D@mn... Hm. Well then, it took me and Rain around a couple months to complete this map, although that's not working on it every night or anything. All together, it probably took around... I'd estimate 24-36 hours total, spread over the time span of a couple months, and usually working for 4-7 hours on it at a time when we did work on it. And man, talk about a lot of thinking!! My brain was nothing but spaghetti after every time of working on this thing.
